Me First and the Gimme Gimmies announce “Have Another Ball!”

Me First and The Gimme Gimmes Me First and The Gimme Gimmes have set a release date for their (sorta) new album. The record is titled Have Another Ball and is due out July 08, 2008. It is the follow-up to Love Their Country which was released in 2006.

The disc features leftover tracks from their debut full length, Have A Ball which was released in 1997 and consisted of the Gimme Gimmies’ take on several 70s-era classics.

Bayside, Year Long Disaster and others added to Zumiez Couch Tour

Bayside Bayside, Year Long Disaster, Kandi Coded, Jet Lag Gemini, Our Last Night, The Frantic and Dr. Manhattan have been added to individual dates of the Zumiez 2008 Couch Tour.

They join already-confirmed headliners Alkaline Trio and Scary Kids Scaring Kids on the event which include the live performances as well as skateboarding demos.

The run kicks off May 30th and features dates till June 30th. You can find the dates here.

Popular tattoo periodical Inked Magazine has put together an extensive feature on some of New York City’s most famous hardcore artists who discuss the early scene as well as their first tattoos. The five artists spotlighted include Vinnie Stigma (Agnostic Front, Madball), Jimmy Gestapo (Murphy’s LawSick of It All), Civ (Gorilla Biscuits, Civ) and John Joseph (Cro-Mags, Bloodclot)

Ceremony changes title of new LP

Bay Area hardcore act Ceremony has re-titled their forthcoming LP. The album was previously reported as being self-titled, and will henceforth be known as Still Nothing Moves You. Both the vinyl and CD versions of the record will be released by Bridge 9 August 5, though early copies will be available at this year’s Sound and Fury festival.

The band is currently gearing up for their early summer tour with Life Long Tragedy and Sabertooth Zombie.
