Dillinger Escape Plan writing for next album

The members of Dillinger Escape Plan have posted an update on work towards their forthcoming full length:

Ben Weinman has been holed up like a mad scientist blasting out the furious Dillinger Escape Plan insanity that will eventually find it’s way onto our next release. When Ben says that the stuff he’s been writing has actually been giving HIM a headache, you know it’s gonna be pretty intense.

We have no touring plans for the immediate future, but you can be sure that we’ll take a break from writing at around the halfway point and head out for some quick runs, so that we don’t lose our minds(probably too late).

The band released Ire Works in 2007.

Howard Stern to remake “Rock’n’Roll High School”

According to a Rolling Stone report, Howard Stern is apparently plotting a remake of the Ramones classic, Rock’n’Roll High School.

Of course, part of the appeal of the original film was that the entire Ramones lineup appeared in the film, it’s unclear how Stern would fill those roles now that the Ramones – and Darby Crash of the Germs, who also appeared- have passed away.
