Grade to record a couple of new songs for split with Bane

Burlington melodic hardcore band Grade have announced plans to hit the studio to record a few new songs from a new seven-inch, and possible digital EP. The band posted this update:

On July 6th we’re starting to record a couple of new songs for the At Both Ends Magazine final issue double 7″ comp with our old friends from Bane. Shawn, Greg, Kyle and I have been jamming with our good friend Matt Richmond (from the Video Dead and Saint Alvia) for a little while now. What started out as getting together to jam for fun has produced some pretty awesome new songs and we can’t wait to get in the studio and see what we can do with them. No plans for reunion tours or albums or any of that stuff right now, we’re just having a good time playing together again and we’ll see where it goes from here.

The band released And Such Is Progress, Under the Radar and Headfirst Straight To Hell before splitting up in 2002. They reunited in 2006 for a show.

Bouncing Souls: “Ghosts On The Boardwalk”

It’s the first of the month, and so the Bouncing Souls have released their newest song. The band has made the song available for stream this month, and it is also available for purchase directly from their webstore.

Bassist Bryan Kienlen commented:

Once again the Jersey Shore has invaded the lyrics of a Souls song. Really, it’s a song about breaking out of the negative clouds that tend to gather around our heads. Sometimes just looking at your immediate surroundings, but from a different perspective, can change everything. In our case, it was the basic elements that make up our little corner of the world, where the city meets the sea. We love the Jersey shore. Have we mentioned that lately?

You can stream the song on their Facebook page.
