Men of Valor Review

As you know, we are big fans of Battlefield. Not only are we fans, but so are many other gamers. Because of this, Battlefield has sold incredibly well. When a game does this well, you will see a lot of other game companies releasing similiar products. This is not a bad thing in itself. You just have to look a little harder for the diamond in the rough.

Is Men of Valor one of those games? Find out in this review of Men of Valor written by one of our own members, Henley.

New ATI Catalyst 4.12 Beta Drivers

ATI has posted the Catalyst 4.12 Beta Drivers up on their website. This beta driver primarily fixes random hangs playing certain games on certain punkbuster servers. However, I also picked up two tidbits of information on the DriverHeaven Forums today from a member of the Catalyst development team. First, relating to at least one reason for the release of the 4.12 betas:

“ps. if you are planning on playing a hot new game in the next few days, I really recommend you use these drivers. Of course they only work on ATI cards… “

Halflife 2 by chance?

Finally, this same development team member stated that the 4.12 will be the end of the 4 series catalyst with the 5 series starting after the first of the year.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Delayed

S.T.A.L.K.E.R has been delayed from 2005 Q1 to 2005 Q2 due to further optimization of the games dynamic life simulation system, which uses complex routines.

THQs online content manager Max Steller also said that the game has technically been finished and all features have been completed, but due to the complex nature of the dynamic life simulation routines, it will take GSC World additional time to make sure it works properly, as it is a crucial part of the game.

Fake RADEON 9600 PRO Graphics Cards Hit the Market

“Power Color” RADEON 9550 Selling as RADEON 9600 PRO
Graphics cards maker Tul Corp. may face denunciation from customers and distributors as at least some graphics cards with the Power Color brand-name made by the company use different graphics processors than they should. The company denied that the boards were made at Tul Corp.s factories, which may mean that a third-party company made a number of fake graphics cards under with Power Color brand-name on the boxes.

Ministry To The Rescue

Here is an interesting tidbit for you. Right before Vampires: The Masquerade – Bloodlines was due to be released, Rob Zombie pulled out of doing the theme song. In a pinch, Activision asked Ministrys main man, Al Jourgensen to fill in. Lucky for Activision, Ministry was working on their latest album. So Al jumped on a plane and headed to Activisions headquarters to check out the game. He was so blown away that he wrote the song in his head on the plane coming back from his trip.

Dont count on Bloodlines being on the new Ministry album, Houses of the Mole as it didnt make it in time. They did state their is a chance you might hear it on tour and you will deffinately hear it on the game.
