Chester Bennington Puts Solo Album On Hold

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has announced that his solo project, which is 2 years in the works, has been put on the back burner. Bennington hopes to finish it over the next few years of touring with Linkin Park. He told Launch that while he had gotten pretty far into the recording process, Linkin Park comes first:

I was actually pretty deep into recording my other project, called Dead By Sunrise, and we were really far into the record,” he said. “And then, you know, LP got together and we all decided that we wanted to make a record and start as soon as possible. So Linkin Park takes the lead, you know what I mean? So I stopped working on the record and I’ll be finishing it up while we’re touring over these next couple of years, and it’ll be ready to go out.

Motley Crue Suing Because Tommy Lee Isn’t Cool

Motley Crue is claiming that “Rock Star” made Tommy Lee look like less of a rock star. The band is claiming that Carl Stubner made business decisions with his own interests in mind and gave Lee bad career advice, which in turn tarnished the group’s image.

Not only did Lee’s participation in the reality shows Tommy Lee Goes to College on NBC and Rock Star: Supernova on CBS get in the way of Motley Crue’s 2005 Red, White & Crue tour and plans to record a new studio album, costing the band’s annual revenue to fall to only $19 million in 2006, but the NBC series’ “inane overtones” made Lee look “incoherent, lazy and incompetent,” alleges the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
