The Shirts for a Cure Project and Photo Finish Records have announced the lineup for his year’s SXSW day party will feature 7 Seconds, Rival Schools, Fucked Up, Steel Train, Riverboat Gamblers, Envy on the Coast, Strike Anywhere, The Downtown Fiction, Dead to Me, I Fight Dragons, Ashtree Close and a special guest. The FREE event will be held on two stages at Red 7 (611 East 7th Street) on Friday March 19th, doors open at noon sharp. Donations will be collected at the door and are strong encouraged.

This is the fifth year Photo Finish and Shirts for a Cure has produced a showcase for SXSW. Performers in the past have included My Chemical Romance, Hot Water Music, The Bouncing Souls, Circa Survive, Head Automatica, Lifetime, Bane and many more.

Victory Records has set a release date for Streetlight Manifesto‘s much anticipated new record 99 Songs of A Revolution: Vol 1. The record is due to hit stories on March 16th of this year. The project will follow up the ska-punk band’s 2007 release Somewhere in the Between.

According to the official website of Ignite, vocalist Zoli Teglas will be handling vocal duties for Pennywise on that’s band’s upcoming European tour.

Teglas has been filling in sporadically for Pennywise ever since original vocalist Jim Lindberg left the band back in August.

Québécois punks The Sainte Catherines have announced that they’ll be recording a new album this year. The band, who already have a ten song demo completed, is currently in the midst of writing another ten songs before hitting the studio for real.

Once released, the album will be the band’s first since 2006’s Dancing for Decadence. In the meantime, members of the group performed in Yesterday’s Ring, whose debut Diamonds in the Ditch was released last year.
