Antillectual to enter studio
Dutch punks Antillectual will be entering the studio tomorrow to begin recording the follow-up to 2008’s Testimony. According to the band’s twitter feed, they’ll be recording twelve new songs in twelve days spread over the next month, and are promising to send updates from the studio.
No word yet on a tentative release date or label. Notably, Jump Start Records released Testimony in North America.

Frightened Rabbit: ‘The Winter of Mixed Drinks’
Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit have launched a full album stream of their upcoming full-length, The Winter of Mixed Drinks. Slated for a March 1, 2010 release, it’ll follow up 2008’s The Midnight Organ Fight. The band has already announced a lengthy tour in support of the record.

Dillinger Escape Plan: “Farewell, Mona Lisa”
Dillinger Escape Plan have posted “Farewell, Mona Lisa,” the first single from the band’s upcoming full-length, Option Paralysis. Slated for a March 23, 2010 release, it’ll follow up 2007’s Ire Works and be the band’s first release on their own Party Smasher imprint, distributed through Season of Mist. The band will be supporting the album on an American tour next month.

This includes the band’s 7″ for the Art of the Underground Singles Series as well as their contribution to Dangerous Intersections Vol. I, released by Traffic Street Records. Matador Records has unveiled the first song from the The New Pornographers upcoming full length Together. You can download “Your Hands (Together)” at the label’s website..
The record is set for release on May 4th. It was produced by the band and Phil Palazzolo and recorded in Vancouver, Brooklyn, Woodstock, and Catskill, NY. Nine new songs by A.C. Newman are featured along with three by Destroyer‘s Dan Bejar.
