Today, we’re excited to bring you a stream of the new album from Austin, TX’s Look Mexico, To Bed To Battle. The album is the band’s first for Suburban Home Records and follows up two critically acclaimed releases: 2008’s Gasp Asp 7″ and 2007’s This Is Animal Music.
Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem recently performed The Clash classic, “Lost in the Supermarket” at The Troubadour In Los Angeles, CA on March 19th, 2010. The song comes from The Clash’s London Calling and has been famously covered by Ben Folds and The Afghan Whigs.
LO-PRO, the project featuring former ULTRASPANK members Pete Murray (vocals) and Neil Godfrey (guitar), along with ex-GODSMACK drummer Tommy Stewart, has had the release date of its long-awaited sophomore full-length album, “The Beautiful Sounds of Revenge”, pushed back to June 8 from the previously announced May 25. In a new interview, NPR personality and actor Carrie Brownstein talked briefly about her defunct band, Sleater-Kinney and addressed the ever popular questions of a reunion:
Janet [Weiss], Corin [Tucker] and I are still great friends. And we will probably do something. It’s so intense, that band. We spent 11 years committed to that band, heart and soul. To get back into it we have to be in that place where we can immerse ourselves fully. I think it will happen. We have to loop around, and we’re at the far end of the circle, away from the band, but I think we will come back and revisit it. And hopefully that record will be sometime in the next five years.
