Any New Mods or Releases?

    I haven't been paying a lot of attention to BF2, but I'd love to go a few rounds. Have any of the mods released lately? Any maps of note that we should check out?

    DICE is supposedly working on a new patch for the game with new maps.

    Our friends in =VF= are playing the DCON mod on Tuesday and Friday nights.

    Operation Peace Keeper has released a password protected torrent of their .25 release. The password will be released soon, but the article didn't say exactly when.

    Interstate Nitro looks interesting. A BF mod based on the Interstate '76 came can't be bad 😀 They released an open beta a while back. I downloaded it but haven't played it.

    Forgotten Hope, BFPirates, and Battlegroup-Frontlines are all showing off lots of maps, renders, and other stuff as well. Pirates seems the closest to another release, but FH said that they were going to do a release this summer as well (I think) with Normandy maps 😀

    I saw Interstate Nitro. Looks like it might be fun for a night or two.

    Highway Tampa was the last new vanilla BF2 map released. Though it's been out for a while I tried it a couple of weeks ago. It is definitely a map more reminiscent of the good old BF1942 maps, with lots of armor and wide open spaces to maneuver in. It's a good map, better than most of the vanilla maps. There's a 64-player server out there that plays it 24/7 that wouldn't be too hard to find.

    When that map came out we were still BF2 guys, we played it all night one night and quite a bit after that.

    Looks like Eve of Destruction is getting set to release again. Lets hope they fixed the sniper problems. They have added a lot to this game. Enough that I might need to check it out again 😀

    I'd give EoD another chance. Still waiting for that same rush I got playing it on BF42....

    If you see the actual release date, post up. We should be able to squeeze a FNF out of it.

    I would be willing to give it a shot. New guns and vehicles might add a new spark to a faded game - for a night or two, maybe more if it's well done, balanced, and fun.

    What's with the guy throwing med-packs(I think) on top of all the vehicle before he leaves? Does it stay put and make it possible for mobile healing(maybe not otherwise doable in that mod)?
