aww no bf2142?

Was talking to Atomm a few months back and i know he has strong feelings towards bf2142. I am guessing you guys dont play it? I just got back into FPS a week ago and i am hardcore into it. i LOVELOVELOVE titan mode.

But this time i am not a tomato.... i come in the form of a carrot

Hey evil. Nope some of us are playing it. I really like 2142 and I usually play the Titan mode myself. I have not played all that much yet, only about 8 hours, but I do like it. It has all the conquests aspects, just capturing silo's, or you can board the Titan. I do not like the titan lag that Lexx mentioned but this only happens if you board the titan before its shields are down. Once that happens the titan does not move anymore and the lag doe snot happen. I mention this more for Lexx's benefit. 😉

Catch me on x-fire man. 1paladin. usually on weekends. I have jumped on Vertical Finger clan's servers a few times. They have one for Titan and one for conquest. I am going to be looking to join a new clan to play 2142 with.

We will see what happens with GRB when some new games come out.

I probably play BF2142 more than most of the others. Send you a add on xfire. same as paladin, give me an IM. I often play on the Vertical Finger Clan Server. though I recently took an involentary vacation from gaming, I have returned.

Ideally if we get more members we can build a nice user base here that would also play 2142 and future EA games. The problem is I would like to join a 2142 clan that has its own 2142 server and that would probably never happen here.

I'd be interested in joining 2142 if you can put together enough for a Friday or Sunday nite and ONLY on conquest mode.

I HATE the huge titan maps and your never going to convince me otherwise. I'm tired of getting dumped to desktop by the lag associated with them, and the resetting of my movement keys everytime it does so. Perhaps if you had slow DSL you may believe these points, but I never could finish a titan map without a headache.

Also, I'd never play any other tag except GRB for 2142, or none at all, but I'm done with titan mode until EA fixes the netcode and the GD key assignments.

As I said earlier Lexx, titan only gets laggy ON the titan while it is moving. So do not go on the titan at all or only go on after its shields are down. So simple even a Lexx can do it.

I would like to play Titan as the arty is almost non-existent in that mode and it is much more fun. So basically do not bother man 😉

I agree with the damn key assignments. Lucky for me it is a fast fix as I only have to assign one for each type.

As for the GRB tag, that will depend on if I join another clan or not. GRB is not moving forward with 2142 so I am looking elsewhere. If I only play along side another clan I am GRB all the way. If I find some better play and join up then I will have to use what ever they require I guess.

I am still GRB for BF2 and hopefully for newer games as I said. Just want to be clear.

No love for me on the 2142 it seems..

The city maps on conquest are quite nice.. but a lot of the same maps that are Titan are conquest so as for large sizes.. I like the Titan Maps, I don't run into any real lag problems and enjoy playing defense or just assaulting the crap outta some poor Titans.

I have not found any maps in 2142 to be too large. Maybe it is just me. I am not sure but I seem to get around in them way faster than I do in BF2. Maybe it is because I have a lot more sprint, maybe it is because there seems to be vehicles around, I am not sure. I seem to be able to walk around and get there so...

So what is the no love then?

The love was referring to the non-mention of my name, the maps are great teh vehicles are always there and the game itself sometimes seems to be more playable in terms of speed at times..

15meg connection..... quad core phase change overclocked to 4.4ghz with 2 8800gtx's in sli.............. what is this lag thing you speak of? lol

Show up on Thursday we should be hitting up a good server or two for a nice couple rounds.
