Ok... Coming from the console side of things... This game better have a lot patched to it before they start charging for it...

    Issues:

    1. Falling through map... A lot... More outside than inside.
    2. Anything that can be destroyed seems to bounce while you are standing on it. Or, crap just bounces like crazy when you stand on it... Dunno...
    3. Crawling under map... I think a person spends more time crawling under ground in an outside map then they do running on top of the soil... Not only that, but you can hide more than half your body in just about every bump out there..

The actual game play is good... The ranking system is good... They just need to fix all the damn glitching everywhere... [mainly outside again, but I like to generalize]...

Ditto I rode a pine tree by the west side of the hill in Alpha and have seen it done in Beta also - also saw a floating LAV armored vehicle too in Beta.

And again we have a winner!
Just look at any Heavy Gunner when the bipod is deployed.... enough said there and the hiding in dirt piles I see some but no too much there also.

Have not warmed up to the game at all yet my self.

So I completely missed the boat on this one. I thought it was the preorder folks only. I know I'm going to regret this, but I'm D/Ling it now.

Orgin username is GRB_Atomm. Add me.

Let us know how it goes for you. If you can't play and Duck can't play that only leaves Bubba to play BF with. You know I don't like to be alone with him.... 😕

Seriously, if you guys can't play I'm going to cancel my pre-order so figure it out quick.

As of today - I have not and AM NOT planning on pre-order, nor will I get it right away.
April, May 2012 when it hits $19 on eBay is when I think I'll revisit BF3

I just don't like it when I'm in the game and can't see it getting any better.

Supposedly 64 player servers are opening up this weekend playing the Caspian Border map as a final stress test for the beta.

The beta closes on the 10th so get your testing in now....

played caspian sea for a little bit.....cant figure out how to expand minimap yet.....so im no help to anyone.......but i can kill stuff, so im good for now.

side note, jets and tanks everywhere on this map, only seen a few choppers, im thinking the jets are taking them out.

Sarge played this weekend, said he liked the new map - I didn't.

I enjoyed the game overall. Advancement in ranks was pretty quick - I was level 8 after just a few hours play time. Weapons didn't seem too arcadey and the movement was fluid and believable. Lots of cover and concealment - both on the Metro map and the Caspian Sea. Never flew a helo or jet because I couldn't get my Joystick to work (That's what she said!) but tanks were a lot of fun. Did not experience any helo or jet rape-age at all, but I expect that was mostly because people aren't comfortable with them yet.

Would have liked to truly work as a squad as the classes allow for a lot of mutual support.

Atomm did you get a chance to try it out?

I was waiting for my new monitor before trying and Fedex wouldn't leave it on my porch. Missed out by one dang day.

On a side note, I played BFBC2 Vietnam with the new monitor and I could tell a difference on how it made me feel. I still get a little light headed, but overall, it's something I can handle.

I'm hoping BF3 will be the same.

BTW, did I mention that 120Hz rocks?!?!?!?!?!
