The FoV settings in BFBC2 are really wierd. They are not horizontal like most games. Instead, its vertical. Who the heck came up with that system is beyond me. Luckily, someone already did the math for us.
Dang, looks like I have the oldest video card here. Time to order a new one.
Bubba, what CPU and how much onboard memory do you have? I'm worried that if I buy this, I won't have enough Memory left over due to the whole Windows GPU memory allocation issue.
Note however, if you are running 32bit Win 7, the ram on the vid card counts against your total system ram. i.e. in essence, with 32bit you can have max 4Gb Memory addressed, You vid card with 1Gb eats you down to a max of 3Gb system ram. Of course if you had a pair you would have installed win 7 64bit, then within any true human possibility there is no restriction ( I think it's 128Gb of addressed memory).
I think you knew this but covering it just in case.
Yea, that's why I was debating which card to get. I'm going to get the 1GB card. The memory architecture is slightly better.
I didn't install 64 because I only have 2GB of memory and it wasn't worth any program compatibility hassles for something that didn't benefit me anyway.
I did buy the retail version and have both 32 and 64 bit and will switch when I rebuild my system.
No worries. I'm seriously considering just upgrading my mobo/cpu/memory/video. This just gives me an excuse.
The only issue I have is finding the time to reinstall 64 bit and all my apps. It was such a pain just getting the Witcher installed. I'm not sure I want to start that over.
OK, I pulled the trigger. 1GB EVGA 460 GTX, I5 2.8, 8GB Ram and a new mobo to tie it nicely together. Looks like I have a 64 bit windows reinstall in my future.
