BF1942 is free on Origin! ...If you can find it!Where would you look if you were told this game was free on Origin? Because you won't find itanywhere on either the install or web storefronts of the accursed pestilence! Don't you love Steam?
Only the homepage for the game will get you where you need to be. It may be ten years old, but it's still a pretty damn popular installment of the series.
Just in case you were missing the disks or never had it... Origin now will let you get it.

Looking at the FAQ.. No Addons, You can start a multiplayer server, but can only play with others who are using the same 'downloaded from origin' software, any user created mods are 'officially unsupported' and cannot be stated if they are functioning or not.
The mod thing is expected partyline, the unable to play with users who are using the disc install is kinda bunk, but its free so no more looking into that maw.
Depending on what's going on - not this weekend but I'm in next weekend - sure. Got to download and re-install Origin and then go find BF-1942
But WoT is having a blow out weekend and I may be there if my DDO ban is still in effect. Free is free and I want to get the most out of the free weekend if I can.
(I say next weekend - when ever you have off again (can also do during the week if your schedule says))
10 years ago Sarge? Wow, we are getting old! I was also around about that time playing BF 1942. Like any old timer I will say "BF1942 was better! A building was a building in those days. I my time a soldier could run inside and hide when a tank showed up".
Big HELLO to the rest of the Clan! I am sorry that I have not been active for so many years, after I burnt out on D&D I kinda went solo gaming (EvE online, Fallout, and Skyrim). I am into WoT sometimes, look for me under: Varrg (note the rr). I am on the NA server.

So... who got it? I did.. noticing a little delay in some controls like parachute (SPLAT) and jump Other things ore OK reload - Prone - give and take for what it is.

Busy, which is a good thing, now with so many unemployed here and in NA. iCe lives with some doing WoT and others trying BF3. I wonder if we can have a WoT Clan war? It probably cost real world money though.
