Until 2009. Apparently, they need to retool the backend that controls the game. Either they figured out it wasn't working like they thought or some new technology came out that will allow them to make even more money.
I find it interesting that they would close the whole thing down while they modify it.
They went backwards and turned this into a cartoon... A&&holes...
If you didn't say it, I was going to. 🙂 Oh well, they say that this isn't BF3. No harm in something with different gfx and gameplay. Not my ideal of course, but still might be good for some fun now and again.
Remember, this is supposed to be an arcady style game that is definitely not BF3. Also, don't confuse it with BF1943 which is supposed to be a less cartoonish and arcady, but still not BF3.
Iirc, the look of BFHeroes actually predates TF2. Not that it matters in the least little bit, but I believe that the ultimate look of TF2 was decided very late in the development of the game and was a radical departure from where they started.
I still don't foresee BFHeroes being more than a fun diversion for a couple of nights. And since it is free, that's even better.
.......and remember, your placed on servers based on your skill level. So getting together for games might be harder, unless everyone ranks up together.
