Now this is a bit earlier than initially believed. At the time, MW3 had not been announced. With that said, I get the impression that EA did what EA does best and pushed the release up a month or two to get the jump on MW3. Remember, once they have your money, they did their job.

    Going to preorder anyway. Sigh.......

Some clarification of what you get when you pre-order, and what you don't.

RPS wrote:DICE General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has gone a little further with DICE’s response to the uproar over the Physical Warfare Pack being a pre-order bonus. And it seems like a bit of a change from their initial response. Here’s the meat of it: “I would like to start by clarifying that the Physical Warfare Pack is a time-based exclusive. If you do not pre-order Battlefield 3 at a retailer carrying the Physical Warfare Pack, don’t worry. We will unlock the contents of the Physical Warfare Pack for free to all Battlefield 3 players later this year.” They also say that “if you pre-order Battlefield 3, you will be able to play Back to Karkand at no extra charge as soon as it is released, but it is not day one DLC and it is not on the base game disc.” Folks who do not pre-order will, of course, have to buy and download the DLC separately.

Where do you guys want to preorder from? I can get some affiliate links set up for it.

    Amazon?
    Gamestop?
    Newegg?

Oh good point Atomm - as I recall the site gets perks if we order through correct?
I'd prefer a direct buy that will get me the disks and not a digital download.

Paypal support would be nice too if at all possible - other than that I'm OK with whom ever you all want to use, but I'll buy through the sites link to help us out.

I don't care who it's through. I have had bad luck in the past with gamestop and B&N however, but honestly... whatever.

whatever does best for the kickback, Amazon would be my pref otherwise for disc based..

I still haven't been burned by steam so they will probably still get my business, do they have kickback linkies? I know a few have gotten burned by them though...

EA won't release this through steam. 🙁

Amazon would be great as I'm actually negative with them and I don't want to loose the account. Some bastard ordered Photoshop CS4 suite way back when, then returned it after they paid me.

    I'll put together a link.

Duck, I'll see who I can find that uses Paypal.

Atomm, I will find the amazon affiliate link and get you positive. We order everythig from them, even some grocery items. Our UPS dude must hate us.

PayPal was a request only - not to worried with Amazon - especially if it will make you (us) right with them.
