On the surface, this sounds like shit, but from experience, I hated how the game became a test of who could flop their fat ass on the ground first got the kill.

I actually like this idea a lot.......

What I don't like is the inability to tighten up my aim from a distance......

    Crouch?

As usual they go too far the other way.

All they needed to do was put a delay before or after you get to the prone position. Just like in real life. You go prone and have to wait a second before you can fire, think of it as putting the weapon into position. This not only allows you to still aim better for distance shooting like Atomm wants to do but prevents the PRONE/KILL problem..

They need to go backwards to go forward in this case. The aiming system that they had for BFV was perfect in my opinion. With patience, you could have pinpoint accuracy but running around and you were all over the place. I'd also agree with Paladin - a delay from standing to prone, a smaller delay from crouch to prone, and you avoid the flopping issue entirely but allow for greater accuracy with better positioning.

You guys realize they put a delay in BF2 right? Because it was still nothing but flopping on your belly at the site of the enemy. That's the reason I loved BF42 over BF2. Heck, even in BFV, you fought standing up and you layed down well before you saw someone.

They clearly never implemented it correctly, and I said so many times. I even started doing it myself. What else could you do? It worked.

naaa 42 was not as good as BF2 IMHO as it lacked a lot of other things BF2 offered. Squads, the way the hud worked, spotting etc.. ?? Hell I cannot remember all the differences to be honest but I remember there were a lot for things that I thought "WOW" when BF2 came out. 🙂

I actually never liked 42 by itself. It was the DC mod that made the game great to me. I never really liked the way they did the older weapons. They felt old... CoDW@W actually takes those same weapons but makes them fun again.... That game has the WWII feel without feeling like you are using old slow ass lame weapons.. 🙂

Yes, but the hit boxes worked and people actually fought standing up...... That was my point about being better....
