Well, it came out yesterday for the XBox 360 and will be released tonight for the PS3. During the first day, 80,000 players showed up. This was way beyond EA's expectations and they did not have enough servers to handle the number of players.
Lot's of complaints from the player community about this.
You know, this got me to start thinking. Is the profit from Online Console games really that good? If all the game servers are managed by EA, that's a hell of a lot of ongoing costs. At least with PC, you can outsource some of the game servers to the community.
