Ea Sucks

Sorry that one just never gets old. . .for me, anyway 😉

The cluelessness of the OP reminded me of a time when I DIDN'T think EA sucked. I recalled when EA was a well-respected company, put out polished, innovative products, and tried to promote their programmers as "new rock stars". I wonder what takeover, merger, or evil pod-person invasion caused a shift of this magnitude. Oops, Click on the "New rock stars" link to see why - my guess is the departure of Trip Hawkins.

"Past EA" would weep to see what "present EA" has become. Now, they're just one evil plot to take over the world away from being a corporate movie villain.

The biggest reason EA is out of touch is due to the fact that it's a publicly owned company that expects everything to make millions and millions of dollars.

Private companies on the other hand can put out creative games as long as they make enough to get to the next game. There are several studio's that epitomize this, Blizzard, Bioware, Valve and iD come to mind.

As long as they stay independent, they can innovate, but the second they join the borg, they loose all individuality and ability to make creative gaming decisions.
