Eve of Destruction 2 Released

A new version of the Vietnam War mod for Battlefield 2 was released today.

You need both the mod file and the levels files, both of which are around 1.4GB. Look on the EoD2 downloads section for the mirrors.

I'm hoping to check out this mod late tonight, say around midnight EST.

Played this for a bit late last night. Heli's are hard to fly - like they were in EoD for BF42. Saw no snipers other than myself 😈 when I found a pickup kit. Good times running through the jungle.

I grabbed this using the Torrent. It was done in a few hours. I'm still seeding.

This was by far the fastest I've ever downloaded a mod via torrent. Way cool!

OK a little mod guidance again please.
I have both files, both are applications, run them and then what?
Or are they self extracting to the correct destination.....

They are self extracting installers and assuming you have the standard installation for BF2 should go to the right places. Do the mod one first and then the levels one.

I just hope I can be grandfathered in and not have to go through iniation again...is anyone aware those constant beatings can lead to carpel tunnel & brain damage!

Naw most of us were brain damaged before we got here.

Does anyone think they will ever want to revisit this, or can I uninstall this?

I think finding an active server will be the biggest issue. I tried the night after we played that one time and found nothing....

I liked the city maps a bunch. The jungle made me a little dizzy, but the rest of the maps were great.

We could try to find a server again, but it may be pointless.
