    Wake Island, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, and the Sharqi Peninsula will be making returns.


    One ground pounder map, one helo centric and two air maps. Wish it was more ground pounders, but I'm still interested.

    Back To Karkland map pack will be available free of cost to all those gamers who pre-order Limited Edition of Battlefield 3, Standard Edition buyers will get the map pack in the form of DLC, however they have to wait for a month.


    Sneaky Bastards...... Coming out with DLC right from the get go......

    I wonder how bad this will divide the community at launch. I kind of question them doing this.

    So, whose else is getting the Limited Edition? :-)

    Unless they support DX9 I'm not following it at all and pre-order/post purchase / eBay are all out too.

    Given how much EA wants this to be bigger than CoD, I just can't see how they will make it DX11 only. That is so unEA like.

    Slightly new info. This is actually bad for me. Stuff like this really messes with me.

    •when there's an explosion near you, your soldier is projected to the ground, and it apparetnly isn't scripted. when you get too much shots your soldier starts closing and opening his eyes from the pain, and your visibility gets bad.

    Yah it does look nice - but just by watching it I get that head detached from neck feeling that Atomm and I get.

    Yea, I'm a bit worried about this one. Then again, the longer we game, the worse things seem to get for me.....

    One thing I find odd is how much they are focusing on the single player aspect of the game. Battlefield has never been known for single player. I'm afraid this is a side affect of the console portion of the game.

    Just came here to post that. Did you see when he rolled the Rocket Launcher to the other guy? Think about that for a moment. I can't name a game that has an animation for trading weapons. Everything until now has been drop pack, pick up pack. If you can do that in Multiplayer, I will be stunned.

    ...on a related side note...... a vast majority of our software is coming up Win 7 Pro (32 Bit) compliant.

    Put the request in to Pres of Engineering that with out one pc running Win 7 Pro (32) I am ill equipped to support our customers who purchase new pc w the SW and our new software.

    He gave the OK to get it from IT or if they cry about it - we will just buy it out right from our engineering budget to set me up with it....

    Maybe - like always - I'll wait for the first few weeks / months to see how bad it is and how much work it needs before I eBay it.

    I wanted to play Black Ops but after the initial reviews/issues/patch it slid in to oblivion for me.
    Let's see how it releases and who here is going to get it.

    Got the final - final - FINAL ok for Win 7 (shipped for warehouse Friday) so I really am intertaing the pre-order to get the "Back to Karkand" map .... that map was (is) my high water mark for online gaming.

    And for once I may actually have the money to do it. Has the release date been set - other than 2011?

    I haven't seen a final ship date other than estimated November 2011.
