    More info.

    Spotting has been confirmed.

Supposedly, no dolphin diving. We'll see.

Interesting read and some of the features sound pretty cool.

I'm most interested in how they handle the unlocks (I hope it changes from BFBC2) and how they plan to effectively counter planes and helos.

The whole problem of dolphin diving may be solved by their use of the new animation scheme. If a soldier doesn't instantly go from standing to prone, the dolphin diving shouldn't happen. I'm sure that some other exploit will be found, but maybe this one at least is solved.

I wish they would get out of the desert though. I want woodland, mountain and jungle battles.

It mentions "More than one setting, you're not in the middle east for the whole game"... It 'might' have some other non-desert locations... [???]

It's where you: go prone-stand up-go prone in fast succession, often times done by macro keyboards, during this process it's very hard to hit people.

I think I read somewhere that they are going for urban, but it is going to be all over the place. So, I still don't expect any tree/jungle type maps. Which is a shame, because they look incredible on the Frostbite 1 engine.

Just looking around on Steam and see that Tom Clancy's HAWX2 which they said was going to be a DX11 game only is DX 9, 10 and 11 - so who knows BF 3 might be DX 9, 10 and 11 also .

So eh, I never understood peoples aversion to the 203. It works like it does in real life, aside from the distance for detonation is much to close. But srsly, the only way to "fix" it would be to increase the detonation range, and make it mandatory to look down the sites.

I can't think of anything wrong with it as is...

real life situations don't always make for fun gaming. The quest for 'real life' in games sometimes boggles the mind... I mean eventually do we make war simulations that are hooked up to a pistols that shoots you when you die in game, to make it 'more real'?

Seriously though, it makes the game just not fun to play.
