All I can say is Yay!

BGF wrote:We have good news today - we are actively working on Release 1.1 and intend to have some details on the release date very soon. Unfortunately we have some bad news too. Our Project Manager until recently, Takiwa, has left the mod. He did a lot of work for the mod last year, particularly organising Release 1.0. However, his views on the way BGF should play - including low tank and player running speeds, no jumping, etc. - have been at odds with other members of the team for some time, and recently relations between team members became increasingly difficult so that Takiwa unfortunately had to leave. Nonetheless we acknowledge his contribution to BGF and no doubt his modding skills will be seen again, on BF2 or another engine.

Meanwhile, however, a number of members who had left have rejoined, and the team is working at full speed again. As well as 1.1, we are already working on patch 1.2. This one will feature a lot of new content and gameplay-changes, while 1.1 will basically fix the bugs and tweaks the overall gameplay speed. We will especially focus on mid- and late war vehicles now, e.g. the famous Tiger tank, Ferdinand, IS-2 and so on. You will also soon find a brand new, very well known, army, including new soldiers, vehicles and maps.

Oh, and there is this as well. A Panther D 💗

The smaller maps were a blast. This should be a good turn around. The question is how long will it take them to pull this off.
