So another Platoon I am part of just switched their server to hardcore. I thought I wouldn't like it much, but I actually enjoy it a lot! If you haven't tried out hardcore, I would recommend it....however I wouldn't recommend it without TeamSpeak or some type of voice communication.
Also, I forget who was touting the AN-94 last FNF, but the gun has now grown on me. I probably won't stick with it forever, but I have become fairly dangerous with it now and enjoy it.
I prefer hardcore. You actually kill things. It, to some extent, levels the playing field against unlocks. 1 or 2 hits will kill, so it doesn't matter if you have all the extras to your fancy gun, you don't need to hit soemone 436 times to kill them.
<-- AN-94 whore...
Hardcore is enjoyable...
Wait crap, that didn't pan out!!!
Hardcore can be a lot of fun as long as the server isn't one of those that will kick you if you run or don't act in a "tactical" manner at all times. That just gets old. The BF2 "Reality" mod started out a lot of fun and very interesting but then they got a little crazy with the reality aspect of it and I stopped playing.
Yah crouch or crawl only servers.
barf
I enjoyed the tactical style of play in BF2 and COD4. I found it made me a much better player. However, I never enjoyed the "Realism" style much.
Of coarse anytime we can play on a server that allows me to TK Bubba at least once a night is not necessarily a BAD thing.
