Yea. I have to agree. I played two maps and it was incredible. My only complaint is they made this a 5 map expansion instead of a full blown game. This has soooooo much potential.

I think it was Hill 137. The Vietnamese bunkers that were all blown up and on fire were incredible.

Agreed. Much more fun (so far) than the base game.

So I played a few hours on Sunday. I still had fun, but I did get a little frustrated going up against all the Generals who had all the perks. At first, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't beat someone in a straight up fight and Duck explained the whole perk system. I wish this had not carried over to Vietnam.

I still wish there were more maps. I can see this getting old quickly as everyone figures out the maps. Heck, I'd pay $50-$60 for a full game of Vietnam. I would even pay for updated map packs, especially if they redid the original Vietnam maps.

Didn't CoD have a package release of 3 maps a year for the last two years, adding 6 maps @ $19.99 per pack?

Maybe that's what EA (Rat Bastards! (Ahhh feels good to say that again)) are planning.

Well, they tried the 3 maps @ $9.95 for BF2. I only bought one of the two, but I really enjoyed the maps.

All I know is there is no way for us to make our own maps, so we're stuck waiting on DICE.

8:00 am and there are only 8 Conquest servers showing up for Vietnam today in server browser..... sign of the times?

Reloaded at 8:13 and now 11 servers..... rot row raggie.

I hope not, I was having fun with the game for the most part. Did you have the "hide empty servers" button checked?

Well, it is 8am on a school/work day. Some of us don't get to game at work. 😛

Just had an oh crap moment - played a few rounds came to the fourth map and had no unlocks.
Still had rank 24 but nothing but basic weapons.
Jumped off server looked at states - nothing, went to main BFBC2 - nothing unlocked.

Logged off - shut Steam off - re-logged on, all's back and right with the world.
Ugh.

They are having tons of problems with the whole stats server and tracking that stuff. Unfortunately, they have created such a complicated back end, I think it will factor into the ability to play this game in a few years. If the costs are too high, they will simply turn all the stat/tracking servers off and everyone will be stuck with a basic game.

Not knowing anything about the data stuff (voodoo) could they also opt to turn everything ON should they decide to walk away from upkeep?
