I have mostly finished this up. I have done most of the caves. I have completed the Explorer and all but 1 rare encounter, and I have about 30 kills to finish my slayer.
The area was alot of fun and I encourage you to check it out. It is mostly a level 5 and that is why I did it alone, this way I could still get full XP.
We may have to figure out how we want to deal with the disparity in leveling that is starting to occur more and more in our group (if we want to deal with it at all). It seems I put in alot of time and yet Doc and Duck are still leveling faster. The shame is, when this happens it slows us lower people even more.
When we all get together to do a raid, we lose all the XP because we have someone so high level. And the high levels lose the XP because they are so high.
Now don't for one second saying that Doc and Duck shouldn't level, just trying to come up with a way that we can continue to play together (because that is fun). I don't mind sacrificing the XP, but it stinks because then I am even further in the XP hole.
I don't solo or pub for XP as it is. If I run thru a quest, it's for loot, or a muckbane, or lately, festival coins. I save all quests new to me for the group. I think my problem is my availability. I only play with you guys, but I'll quest with Duck and Pal, I'll quest with Sarge and Bubba, etc. I game with everybody separately or in small groups of 2 or 3.
At any rate, it'll be awhile before I go up another level. Just have one jewel and a little bit, and I'm not looking to accelerate the process.
I guess I could start running my lower level character, try to catch up with Sarge's monk, but it's not like doing that is taking away from my current character's XP, not when I'm only getting XP with you guys. I could work on leveling him up to catch up with you guys. It might be fun just to run a pure blast sorcerer. Gotta be easier then running the wizard anyway 🙂
Vicodiin is Level 11 with enough points to be 12 1/2 maybe 12 3/4 now. I have not leveled because we have a few level 8's and if I went to 12 they'd be screwed.
So I just happened to take out my Level 1 War Forged today and started running him up. I made it to level 3 1/2 in a day.
I'll need to know if were going to run our lower level characters up together or should I run my War Forged up to level 5, 6, 7, 8 to get on with the back end of out present group?
Bubba your Three Barrel Cove player is it GRB or is it a new one? Sarge how are you handling your Monk? Keeping him level 4 or moving him to level 6, 7, 8 to play with out standard group.
I'll do what ever with my WF - if's fun standing in a group and doing 30+ damage to every one around me in a single swing. Anyway Bbender (The War Forged) is Level 3.5 and I'll hold him at 4 or 5 to see what were going to do.
I'm trying to level the Monk to be an option for the main group. At the same time, trying to catch him up is also keeping me behind the higher level guys with my Ranger.
Lvl 3.5 Starting Market/Houses area and Hard/Elite Harbor quests. Get yours going and we can run them up together during out week day runs so Vi and Sk can level a little slower so others can catch up.
I have done a bunch of 3 Barrel Cove and have a few places left to discover (time to bring a map) and a bunch of rare encounters left. I'm close to the 400 level on slayer at this point and there are enough baddies there to run the body count up quickly.
I've only done two of the caves so far, and one is only halfway (or less) complete as it is a chaptered adventure.
I got the XP necessary to go to Level 9 with my Ranger but am going to hold off on levelling so that I can get full XP. I may go to Tangleroot Gorge next and try to get as much XP out of that before levelling as well, but I haven't decided. I may run my Monk through Tangleroot instead, then 3 Barrell to catch him up more quickly. I'm half way through the Cerulean Hills with him now.
