OK, had to wait about an hour to get back online, but I took care of a few things in DDO that I'd wanted to do. First, check my auction. I sold sumthin'! Seems like a HEFTY action fee, though. I don't recall seeing such a heavy fee before. 899 gp would be ~90 platinum, and that's like 40% of what I took away.
Some of these pics may look a little off - I reduced the colors to 256 so they wouldn't be so large. I kept them png files because they seem to be sharper, and easier to read.
Anyone else with DDO auction experience think that's unusually high?
I also picked up another vial of pure water, which let me do the Stone of Change ritual to add a +1 AC bonus to my robes.
Robe Before (at Stone of Change):
With needed items on Stone of Change:
It only needed 15 of the prayer beads, and it gave me back all the ones it didn't use.
The final result. Notice the upgraded AC, from 15 to 16.
I had to do a binding ritual on the robe first, which, logically enough, bound the item to me. It also prevents the item from ever getting permanently damaged, so if it gets banged up, it will always be fixable. Finally, the binding ritual allows me to perform other rituals on it, like this one. The binding ritual requires a number of Khyber Dragonshard Fragments equal to the square of the level of the item in question. Mine was a 2, so I only needed 4 fragments.
I don't know if this was a smart item to do this on. I have no spell resistance without it, so it adds +13 to it for me. I don't know if that's good or not, as I couldn't find further info on how that works out in-game. All I know is the robe was pricey, looks cool 😀 , and I didn't see anything else at all that upped my spell resistance, anywhere.
It was interesting to do the ritual thing anyway, and maybe now the clerics/wizards won't bind/hypnotize me so much.
