Since ancient times, the folk of Eberron have observed Long Shadows during these chill weeks of the month of Vult (December) -- a grim season when the power of the Shadow, god of the Dark Six, is at its strongest. Dire magic gathers in dusky corners, and evil stalks the night in a thousand guises. The Coin Lords have determined that the terror of Long Shadows must end! To this end, they devised the festival as a celebration to drive evil out of the city. Instead of cowering from the Shadow, citizens are encouraged to exchange gifts with their adventuring partners and loved ones. And by slaying the monsters who threaten the city's well-being, they may collect festival coins to demonstrate their dauntless spirit in the face of Long Shadows and the Dark Six!
All I've seen today id Where is the Jester? Have you seen the Jester? What is the Coin for?
I keep answering them with false answers - I have gaggles of people running around. Tell them the Jester is in front of the Market bank and just watch the hoard charge in to the Market.
Or tell them they Jester is IN the Leaky Dingy stand back and watch the room fill with people that can;t read or follow directions.
Doc and I seen a dragon flying over the market yesterday. That was cool.
I was looking and most things you will get are basically fancy equivalents of potions. I am not impressed. I would rather see some cool items you can re-use. One time use things are not usually awe inspiring with one use. Candy canes are cool (30 uses) but from what I read they are not giving those out this year. I hope that was wrong.
Traded all of Vicodiins coins in today - got some good stuff. Best place to find a Jester all the time is Harbor go to Leaky Dingy on right side of building there is a ladder - Jester is on the roof.
Sick of using your mouse to turn in coins? Try this tip I found on the DDO forums:
"Select the jester, hold down the control key, and then U, F2, F2, F1 to turn in 3 coppers. Repeat as fast as you can. Pause once in a while to throw away twigs. U,F2,F2,F2 for Silver and U,F2,F2,F3 for gold. Or you can save a key stroke and go U,F2,F1 and let the jester take what he wants."
Set this on a macro and it is a fast process. Now if I only had a lot of coins to try it with 🙂

I'd heard this could be done, but never heard what keys to use. Good info, Paladin!
Was on today (when am I not...?) and saw a looking for group level 1 -20 all welcome in front of Water Works for Festivult presents.
- A clan of Level 20 players were handing out 10K platinum and +2 items like they were handing out copper..... It lasted 15 min Bbender picked up 30K and the Bard got 20K a +2 Short sword and a +2 mace.
Was awesome (some day we will be that guild... I hope.)
Well, this year's Festivult is basically over, at least in the U.S. Just a reminder that you have until Monday, January 11th to turn in those left-over coins! Of course, there's nothing wrong with keeping them for next year...
