Yah another character in the works. Vicodiin is too high level now and people are losing or getting 0 Exp when he's in the party.
Bbender is now doing the same to Doc - he's shot too high too fast so I'll table him until our lower level players are beyond Bbender so I can start playing the big gun again.
So.... I've decided to add a Rouge - not a mechanic like Paladins Rouge who lives for traps and secret doors - I'm going to try to specialize in the assignation feats. Move silent, hide in shadows, sneak, high diplomacy and huge damage from back stabbing.
My low level, (not that I ever use him), is a rouge. That isn't to say you shouldn't do it, but to convey info. Why don't you take one of your characters and just stick with him most of the time and get him to level 20 or whatever and save the other for leveling near the same pace as some of us?
Yah Saving Vicodiin for the party - just need to wait for you all to catch up - hard 'cuz he's my favorite.
Bbender was created for the n00b night fights that never happened, and now is in your/Sarges range of level, but not giving Doc a chance to catch up. So I figured try a rouge assassin - why not - VIP has 10 slots.... I may like the assassin better than the fighter.
Won't know until I try I guess. Lord knows I have enough time on my hands to level either one. So you have a lvl 1 rouge too?
There are definitely times when this would be useful, especially when you catch up to our low level characters in the next couple of days 😛
There are a goodly number of lower level quests where we need the ability to find secret doors and open locks (as evidenced last night in the waterworks where my Monk could sense but not find/open any secret doors). I'd assume that at lower levels, the Assassin path can still disable most of the traps we come across and with a smaller party it would be good to have a scout and another blade for the mobs.
Yes at lower levels the assassin path is just a rouge - when it gets to lvl 8 -12 the path starts to develop it leads further from mechanic and more towards hide in shadows DPS work.
My only toss up is Halfling or Drow (yah yah yah I know another Halfling).
But, as you know I do my research and my build paths first and my character later. And a Halfling gets +2 Dex, +4 Hide in shadows, jump, move silently and listen. Drow gets +2 Dex, +2 Int, +2 Chr and bonus proficiency with rapier, short-sword both good for assassins.
I don't need a lot of strength as Dex is the major ability for back stab, move and hide. It really is leaning towards another Halfling due to it's natural pluses and it also gets racial bonuses for them as it progresses in move, hide and sound where as Drow get more melee and magical defense as it progresses.
While I don't care what you play wouldn't just another cleric be better? I mean we HAVE to have a heal bot. If you are not playing vicodin then we will be without those skills that I personally LOVE having around 🙂
Maybe that is just me 🙂
Just play the new guy and keep him at our average level then break out Vicodin when we are all high enough or just use the new one.

We'd miss Vicodiin, but the warforge is a force to be reckoned with as well, just in a different way.
