I'm level 11 now, and with various purchases and improvements. . .

    Pluses:
    105 hit-points, from 80.
900 spell-points, from 812 (plus 50 on both figures when I remember(ed) to carry my staff while resting/going into a dungeon)
Armor class is 26, was 22

    Saves:
Fortitude is +9, up from +5
Reflex is +13, up from 10
Will is +11, up from 8

I should also move a little faster the next time you see me 😀

    Minuses:
No poison or disease protection - those slots are used to get some of the above improvements.
Fortification now 0%, was 25%, same reason as above. AC and my hit-points are up, as are all of my saves, so not a great loss there. Rather avoid more hits than worry about a reducing a critical hit.

Gonna lean on Duck for the poison/disease thing, I guess. Sure was nice pointing and laughing at the poison-spitting spiders while it lasted 🙂

Will update when I'm next online with game.
Presently I'm looking for a site that outlines how much EXP points it takes to get to each level.

You know 10,000 exp to get to level 4
    21,00 exp to level 5
ect ect - I've looked but have not found a site that out lines the points needed.

  3. #3
I got my sorcerer, Smapti, up to level 2 last night, and he's in the harbor where Skylyx is buying him cool stuff. If you're playing your low-level character, even if it's up a couple levels from him, consider having him tag after you on any quests not labeled SOLO. He'll benefit, and you'll get a little BLAST for free 😀
  4. #4
    Lol!

I've gained enough XP to level my Ranger to 8/1 but I'm holding off to get full XP from 3 Barrel Cove.

I'm also going to start running my Monk (Level 4 still) through Tangleroot and then 3 Barrel. I also need to finish the Cerulean Hills with him as I have mostly rare encounters left.

BBender is now Lvl 5 War Forged Fighter shooting for 7 by Friday.
Will add your guy to friends Doc.
  6. #6
Thanks to Doc's help I have a fairly nice rouge now. We tweaked everything so I can be the best I can be so to speak. 🙂

    I am level 10.

Guys we need to get everyone to at least 8 ASAP. Then we will all be within 3 levels except for Duck I guess.
  7. #7
Yah - 580,000 Exp was my Level 11 Iv'e held off going to 12 for as long as I thought I should.
I was concerned that should I get enough EXP fro level 13 and I not level to 12 before I go to 13 something strange would happen to Vicodiin.

I've noticed some strange things lately related to leveling and loot and 'natural order of the game: - should you do thingd incorrect the game does not let you reset and do over in the order the devs thought you should do them.
I'm stuck in a can't complete can;t go on set - so I was leery or passing by 12 to 13.

Last night I hit 717,000 Exp so I had to level to 12, good thing too 13 is at 730,000.

So I'll keep at 12 until ~900,000 Exp or until I find a site that outlines exp points per level.

  8. #8
Got around to looking at my stuff to match your thread.

    175 hit-points.
    987 spell-points
Armor class is 27 Dropping from 30 but adding DR in its place.
    Currently have
    DR 3/-
    DR 3/-
    DR 1/ Bludgeoning

I think replacing some of my shell for 7 points of DR is a good swap for me.

    Saves:
    Fortitude 14
    Reflex 7
    Will 20

All resistances are 0 unless buffed by spells.
  9. #9
I'll only run Bender until Bubba levels to 9
If I was the reason for his 0 Exp then I don't want to hinder him again.

That sucked for all that BS swimming and he got the hose.
Although the map was fun as a group - I really don't EVER want to see that one again.
  10. #10
Yes that SUCKED!!!! Nothing more frustrating than going through all of the work to get little, if any, reward.

Sarge did the same and I still feel bad about that. We waited around for an hour just to run the raid only to get Sarge no XP for it all. 🙁
  11. #11
Its all good. Really, I don't want people to hamper their enjoyment of the game on my account. That dungeon flat out sucked the 0 XP at the end just further cemented that that dungeon sucked.
    😛
  12. #12
The one shining high point in that map, we all WORKED as a group. And we worked WELL damn together.
All we need to do now is remember how well we did it and keep doing it.
  13. #13
Congrats to Bubber for leveling up last night! He took a fighter level and now Stephen Hawking's afraid to come here himself, so he sent me in his place. Way to go, Bubber!

And now for the Hawk-Man's special message:

"Bubber wears +2 assless chaps." - Stephen Hawking
  14. #14
Indeed it is true. I ended up with almost 50 new hit points in leveling up ;-) Yea!!!!

    I am now a level 9, 7 cleric, 2 Fighter
  15. #15
Yahhhh Bubar - now were all in the same exp group again!!!! +1
I'll hold off leveling to 47 (AKA Mayor of Stormreach until Friday....)
    hahaha

Damn! You are a triple class, thats cool. No wonder it took you so long to level. 🙂

If I had tons of time to play I would make one kick ass character that is a mix of things like that and take him as far as I could. 🙂

    Imagine a Wizard 20/Cleric 20/Fighter 20 🙂 If you could even do that 🙂

    Is that your only character?
  17. #17
Only two classes Paladin Cleric and Fighter.

I have another character that I haven't played except 1 night. I wanted to check out diabling traps and such so I have a lvl 2 rouge.

My character is probably the most boring really. 🙂
Spot a box and click disable. ZZZZzzzzzz 🙂
  19. #19
Did I mention I made level 8 the other night?

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.....

Paladin wrote:My character is probably the most boring really. 🙂

I'm only level 4 and the Rouge class is NO snoozer.
If the party lets me "Has patients" (Harbor quests still) I can enter the room in hide mode working in a circle outer to inner and back stab everyone - never taking a point of damage and no one else in the party takes a point either.

My Trap/Hide/Open/Mechanic/Jump/Spot skills are all in the 22 range now so I've not missed or failed anything yet.

If a party rushes in or I get spotted I hit Diplomacy and shed the agro off on to a fighter, go back to sneak mode and start backstabbing.
You know your doing it right when you clear a room and never leave hidden mode - means the enemy never saw you during the while fight.

I've got back stab boosted to 4d6 + level (+4) right now, plus 2 handed weapon fighting with boosted finesse wielding 2x 1d6 +1 rapiers so on successful hits it's mostly a one shot kill right now.

At level it goes to 6d6 + level and level 10 back stab 10d6 + level - At level 6 add assassinate level 1 which adds +2 to everything and +20 (yes +20) to confirm critical hits and adds 33% to inflick one of three types of poison for 60 seconds that does 6d6 damage over 60 seconds - save for half damage.

Only 2 more levels to go before I get Assassinate 1. Level 12 goes to Assassin 2 which "Grants the ability to make devastating melee attacks that can kill a living target instantly on a successful sneak attack"
Successful Fortitude save deals 10D6 + level(12) damage

Quote is straight from the trainer ability point selection

Now tell me Rouge sucks...... how? 😱

Bbender may take a second row if the Rogue stays tough like I think it can.
  21. #21
Yeah I enjoyed the rouge alot. Though the cleric with a mix of fighter has been ALOT of fun.
  22. #22
Atomm made 8 woohoo! Now to get you to 9 quickly 😀

Paladin wrote:My character is probably the most boring really. 🙂

You should add in some other class, like this guy did by adding 2 levels of Barbarian and 1 level of Ranger.

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=153589

It will bring some more excitement for when there aren't any traps 😀
  23. #23
    I wish I could.....

Don't know when I'll have time, but I'd love to hit 9 so I can add a level of fighter.

I can never do that with you guys, I have tried. Everyone just rushes in, I always take a back seat to the rush of tanks. 🙂
My path is not geared toward it as much though.

I am just kidding, I am not that type of character 🙂

Now tell me Rouge sucks...... how? icon_eek.gif

    It doesn't.

Oh well it is all I have and I don't have the time or patience to do it again. I already had some plans to change a few things anyway at level 11, we will see 🙂
  25. #25
I know you've heard this before, but mix in something else to buff your character. A couple levels of Ranger would compliment the Rogue nicely and give you are harder hitting frontal attack without sacrificing your stealth and trap mastery. Barbarian might also be an interesting combination as well. Each of those would also add to the types of weapons you could use as well.

At the next level up for my Monk I am debating on taking a level of Rogue myself. The Monk class has awesome trap evasion skills, but I can't find secret doors or open locks for crap. As I am soloing a lot with that character, Rogue would help for that reason, as well as give me UMD and help with my stealth and diplomacy. We'll see.

The thing is I cannot ADD something to my character and I am NOT creating a new one. 😛

I already had some plans in the works of changing my path anyway so I am just going to make a few changes the way I already planned. I made some major mistakes when I created my character and I would definitely do it different if I knew then what I know now etc... I wish I had the time to start over but my patience just won't allow it 🙂

    I am a one character guy 😛

What I meant by "adding" was to multi-class your character. Just to be clear, are you saying you can't multiclass? Or don't want to?

I totally understand regarding the mistakes made in initial character development. I'd shift some things around as well. I am seriously thinking about resetting my feats for my Ranger but it seems like a giant pain-in-the-ass to do so. For that reason, I've kept my Monk on the same path at each level up. I can't screw it up too badly if I stick with the defaults 😀 Of course, if I decide to "go rogue" on my next level, that messes that all up anyhow....

If you think you want to do it, do it soon. Duck knows more about this than I do, but I think it gets more expensive as you go up levels.
  29. #29
I did it last level and found it REAL useful in correcting the screwups from the beginning. I didn't knwo that there would be 3 levels of something and bought a lot of level 1 stuff I don't care about.
  30. #30
I can verify that it does get more expensive as you go as I did note that each time I go to do enhancements the reset cost is higher.

I just need to figure out what I want to do 😀
  31. #31
Wow take a day off and see what I miss. Jinknies

Mixing a Monk with Rouge is quite a popular path - there are "hands" that Monks use that are amplified by Rogue ability (And vice-versa) that really gives huge pluses for unarmed "back stab"

    -

Resetting the enhancements is almost a MUST DO in my opinion for our class of players. We do not know this game very well yet, and as we level we take what looks cool or think we might need.

In reality the scattered enhancement path is just hamstringing your character by having a little of this and a little of that and they don't work in cohesion with each other.

My greatest source in straightening out Vicodiins enhancements was DDO WIKI.com - but his server died and he is moving to a new provider..... so the site is down now, but his Enhancement section is stellar. you can plot out your level vs Enhancements VS Points to spend all with a little pen and paper work and his site.

There are some "gotchas" in re mapping the enhancements - if your interested I can post more on it in a new thread or talk on Vent.

Also remember there's Fred to exchange feats also. Figure out your Enhancements and you may need to swap feats too to add to the re-arranged Enhancements.

I could go on and on and on.... if we want we can have a better talk in vent on this issue, but I really think it's a MUST DO to really make your character shine.

    -

Rogue / Ranger is also a popular supporting multi class. Remember to chose classes that share stats.
Rogues can be Strength based or Dexterity based. If your Dex based go Ranger with a specialty in ranged weapons (Dex is needed for bows)
If your Rogue is Strength based go Fighter or Barbarian as they need Strength for damage.

Another 'do your home work" issue. You could really kill your character if you took something like a Wiz who needs Charisma for their class and your a Dex Rogue..... bad cuz then you'd need to split your bonuses on leveling killing both classes ability.

    Choose wisely.

Well I got some serious XP the last two days. I am only ~30K from level 12 now. 🙂

Every has to be at least level 10 before I will advance so let me know.

How are the rest of you doing right now? Lets get a LOT of game time in the rest of this month to take advantage of the extra festavis 20% XP

*I know it is Festivult! 🙂
  33. #33
Made Level 10 on Friday night. Really need to reset my enhancements however to be more effective as a "tank".
  34. #34
Sarge wrote:Made Level 10 on Friday night. Really need to reset my enhancements however to be more effective as a "tank".

Be careful when you reset your enhancements, and Read The Effing Google. I screwed up my enhancement reset for the second time in 3 days, and I have to do a FEAT reset as well (~18,000 platinum + a siberys dragonshard) by taking the Light Armor feat and Arcane Fluidity enhancement. Light armor doesn't really seem to do much for me. I've tried like 6 different sets(one or two being fairly pricey), and none really do much more for me than my usual kit (with Armored Bracers)

I entirely failed to RTFG, but I don't know that I would have been happy until I tried it anyway. One of those things you have to experiment with to fully understand and believe.

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=212757
  35. #35
Sarge - you'll be very surprised at how different your Ranger will be once you re-allocate you enhancements (and Feats from Fred if needed)
If your still concerned wait for ddowiki.com to come back up (he's working on it)
the assistance pages of Feats and Enhancements is bang on.

Wait untill you see Paladins Rogue - I noticed a difference just by seeing him play. Night and Day to me watching his Rogue now. all for the better.
  36. #36
Yeah, I definitely have noticed that Pal is less squishy and doing a lot more killing than previously.
  37. #37
I am trying to make Asot the best he can be. I really went through every enhancement the best I could and I think I re-did him very well. If I work right along side our best fighter, probably Sarge, and keep the argo on him, I can do some nasty damage now, just wait until I am lvl 12 🙂

The best part was I also kept all my rogue skills for traps etc.. the same while doing it. 🙂
  38. #38
Trying to level Bbender but have had a day full of fail.....
Oh the stories I could tell.

Anyways next level adding Sorcerer to Big B to allow him to use Repair spell and use repair wands. Pots are $$$$ and he's coming along nice as a DPS'r - saw some high 40's and a few mid 50's when I was with a Bard friend buffing me and anti-buffing the enemy.

Should we need a tank more than a healer I'll be ready..... only playing Bbender now and leaving Vic for our guild play.
  39. #39
I reset my enhancements and a switched a feat last night. It took me close to two hours to do that and get rid of and acquire some equipment. I am quite a bit poorer, but should be well on my way on the Tempest path which will give me substantial attack bonuses.

I should be a little more hardy and hit a little harder as of now. I'm also thinking of taking a level or 2 of fighter next to gain those bonuses as well as speed me towards tempest with a bonus feat.
  40. #40
Good job Sarge. It is hard to fix stuff this far in but we really did not know enough when we started. hey at least they allow us to change things up in the middle like this.

I had a weird glitch last night, just being in market with no buffs on me all my weapons were reporting almost double + to hits. I logged off and back on and that went away.

I got a new toy! I got a Sun Blade on the AH fairly cheap. 🙂
I am broke now but hey! New Toy!!! 🙂

So Doc and I went into a simple dungeon looking for chests etc.. I was not hitting as well as I think I should have been with my new toy. They were low level undead and even with not backstabbing I should have been killing them in one or two shots. Weird. We will see what happens tonight.

  41. #41
I love my undead bane with acid bonus....... Every hit shows 3 numbers. Way cool.....

BTW, Bubba and I did The Shadow Knight by ourselves Sunday night. We were wiped once, but we managed to pull it off. I wish I had gotten a screenshot of Bubba running into a room without looking up. I stayed outside because there were about 50 Phantom Gargoyles perched overhead. That caused us to get a Red Dungeon Alert. hehehe

It was awesome, even if it did kick our ass.

  42. #42
My Monk is ready to Level up. Do I go Monk 5 or splash some Rogue?

Monk 5 gives me an AC bonus plus "Purity of Body" meaning I am unaffected by disease. Plus 4 skill points. I'm guessing that there are some additional HP as well.

Adding Rogue gives me the ability to sense traps, open doors and disable devices. Also I get to use magical devices. Heroic Durability (+20 hp) and martial and simple weapons proficiency. Light armor proficiency as well, although if I use those weapons or wear armor my monk becomes uncentered and I lose Ki.

Based on what I see there, I think I'm going to splash the Rogue....I am going to think on it tonight however.
  43. #43
I don't know if it matters but you'll lose Monk Stunning Blow when you multiclass.
It also appears that those that do go Monk/Rogue are Rogues first..... also they all seem to take two handed fighting and go with Quarterstaff that has Holy and Pure Good or a Radiance staff.

Apparently Monk speed with Rogue ability make Quarterstaff a kick butt weapons - they also recommend weapon finesse along that line also.

    -

Having said that - what does your gut tell you. Does it sound fun to splash with Rogue?
Your Ranger is splashed right? Do you like playing him?
I'm all for being self sufficient - just make sure your good with the dual class, but it can't hurt.
The cool thing is you'll get both enhancement abilities to choose from at the trainers.

    Fun!

  44. #44
I don't ever use stunning blow, so I don't think that will be a big loss. I'm finding that traps aren't too much of an issue for me (except last night) and I have a high save against that kind of thing. However, I can't sense hidden doors for crap, nor can I pick locks, both of which really are limitations when soloing or in small parties.

I've found the rogue splash in my Ranger (only 1 level) very helpful in the early going, less so in the higher levels. I can usually find doors without problem, but sometimes have trouble disabling traps at the higher levels (+7 disable device gloves help tremendously for this).

I wonder if people start with the Rogue first simply because of the relative ease of the early levels and the greater need for trap detection/lock picking vs. the early monk skills which are simply beating people and monsters to death 😈

When you multiclass, your "cost" for skill upgrades and the like are double for the off-class. For instance, if I take Rogue this time, upgrading my UMD skill will be 1 skill point = +1 in the skill. When I switch back and take a level of Monk, that same 1 skill point = +.5 in the skill.

The bad thing about multiclassing is that it takes you off your Path and you have to figure out for yourself what enhancements to take, etc....
  45. #45
Lets all get caught up. I am level 13 now with 1.5 ranks in.
I know Doc is 14, he is always one level higher than me.

Try to play your main characters more then the secondary to keep them as close as you can.
I think vicodin is 14, 15?, so 11th level will allow us all to still play.

Right now I can play with 10th level but Doc and Duck cannot with their main ones.
But we can play if they use there lower ones but there will be XP hits either way. 🙂

I could care less about the XP so long as we I am having fun playing with friends 🙂
  46. #46
For the record so there is no issues - the move to Order of Gygax was a dumb move - and as soon as I can find Sarge or Bubba on line (and there willing) - I'm moving back to GRB.
    (If accepted back)

I'll park Viciodiin until everyone is back in the same saddle so to speak - but I'll not play Vicodiin with him or them for one more single exp point.
You both need to make your own decisions - but leaving my friends for the sake of more experience was an ass move on my part, and hope to be back with them soonest.

Until that time I'll keep working Bbender and Ian as they are at both of Sarges and Bubbas levels and I'll still be able to play with people I actually LIKE!

Your milage and needs may vary - but I'd rather take 10 years and have fun over a 3 week grind just to get to where someone else wants to be.

    For the record.
So don't be surprised when you don't see my name on the other guild roster after tonight.
I'll either be back with GRB or a lone wolf - I won't play with him - at least not as one of his "guildies" again.

  47. #47
As I told you personally, seriously, its all good. I was surprised to login to find out you had all dissappeared, but I fully understand. Holding back your game for me sucks, and I just can't keep up.

though, if the 3 of you are moving on, and with Atomm leaving for his reasons, I find it hard for me to care about the game and may go back to something else (COD?) We'll see how it all works for all of us.

No hard feelings and as far as I am concerned you are all welcome back to game with me no matter what. Its all good with me.

What kind of move is it to quit the new guild you had joined with your other friends without talking about it to anyone, and ignoring my PM's in game when I asked you about it?

It seems to me that you tend to make big decisions on a whim, and let your moods dictate your decisions. You might want to consider that some things don't require an immediate response, and that moods, like the wind, change quickly. For myself, I've got to start trusting my own instincts. I REALLY must.
  50. #50
I would just like to know caused this man??? You have not even gamed with them really.
Could we not have tried to game at least a few nights before making any decisions??

Did Gandhi piss in your Wheaties or something? What exactly happened to trigger this response?

Hell I am just along for the ride with most of this..

I am not mad that you left, you are free to do what you want. I am kind of hurt that you did not even talk to Doc or I and just left us hanging here....

As we talked about, we only wanted another guild to have more players to game with. It had nothing to do negatively with GRB in anyway and Doc made that clear.

As we also talked about, we always intended to play with everyone so one has nothing to do with the other.
  51. #51
Didn't see any PM/Tells - sorry was not ignoring you - just must have missed them.

Yes - always have - you should know that by now. (or Now you do...)
What good would have come about by talking to you about it?
Would you both leave just as I did?

You were wanting more long term play with members that were online more often and members of a guild that could be depended on to be available for more than 45 min every other Friday.

I'm good with your decision to move - I'm not good with my decision - I corrected it.

As far as your instincts go - do what you have to do - I do and am always REALLY happy with them.

I'd just like to put out that if you guys find cool people, recruit them to GRB. Grow this group. The core is solid outside the game and can be solid inside the game with a better representation of levels.

BTW, I would really, really, really appreciate someone playing the next three nights with me for XP. For reasons I don't care to go into, I need something to take my mind off of something.

I made 9. I haven't taken it yet. I was going to take a fighter class to bring in Tower Shields and Two Handed Fighting Style. Just not sure if I want to take it now or wait. I need a +3 dex item to get Two Handed Fighting and I only have a +1. If your alts are coming into my level range, I'll stay 8 if necessary.

If we could keep on playing the Level 8 Necropolis, that would really awesome!

Weeeeeeeelllll I tried telling you like a 1000 times and like Bubba you have a Duck blind on.
I'll be on leveling Bbender, Ian and Palin if a Fighter, Bard or Rogue are needed this weekend.

Until you three are back to LVL 11

Well, I was taking the politically safer (since I have my hands, and friends, in at least 2 of the 3 clans) route of trying to get them to hang out at the Cabal. Everyone seems to like the idea of keeping their own identity but having more ppl to game with. No downside to it, really. . .continue to be who you are and hang out with more ppl. I was in the early stages of talking to Lexx about getting them their own front page and getting them set up in the Cabal forums, but there hadn't been enough time to do anything more than that yet. I had every intention of introducing folks around and hoping for a mixing via the FRIENDS list.

OMG - That was great last night - Bubba and Sarge.
Bbender leveled up (Now level 9 (8 Ftr 1 Sor)) and I had 2 feats and 5 Enhancements I needed to pick - I put everything in my To hit / To hit Critical / Great sword damage.

Took him from +11 to hit +6 Damage
To tripling any Great swords critical range applying a +12 to critical hit accuracy when he crrits it's a X3 damage (even if the swords a x2) and an over all to hit of +31.
    (Thirty one)

I hollered out loud in the house and my wife thought I was hurt... and came to see what was up.... LOL

Can't wait to try him out when we finish Threnal Sunday!

Bubba leveled too - now we have a pair of res shrines!

It was a fun run and well worth it.
  58. #58
Still can't believe we got wiped that one time at the bridge.
  59. #59
Just like that cruel joke of "NORMAL" we went in on and got wiped Thursday or Friday night too......
Atomm and Sarge and I did - same thing - level 8 medium played like a 11 hard.
    We were paste.

Sounded fun. Wish I could have been there.

I was considering taking Raise Dead as an enhancement. Think it would come in handy?

  61. #61
I don't know what that does, is that what I added last night?

Not just yes... but HELL YES!
Raise dead it basically a spell version of the resurrection shrines. It brings a dead player (or NPC) back from the dead with 10% of their over all HP and maintains what SP they had when they died.

In a group game it's a don't leave home with out it spell. Although you can not res your dead self, if Bubba and Atomm have it mores the better, Vicodiin carries Greater Res which heals for 50% HP also.... when you all get to level 11 I'll be able to help with him then too. (He's 14)

Bbender level to 10 today (9 Fighter, 1 Sorc)- so that's 8 to 10 in since Thursday....
Re-deployed my enhancements to get greatest utility from Great swords and put all my enhancements in to critical to hit and critical damage.

As we all have said - the re-do of enhancements around level 10 is almost a MUST DO weather your a new player or someone that knows the class well.

I've run him through a few house J quests since the re-do and it's awesome.
Added 2 new +5 great swords also bumping the old +1 and a +3 to both +5's - so with enhancements my standard damage now is 2d6+17+22 with out taking critical in to account - then crits add x3 to final damage for a total crit damage of 153 now.

Have added +8 to my critical to hit also so my +5 keen thundering great sword of pure good crits 17 - 20 then add the +8 so a critical to hit now is 9 - 20 for Bbender.

It's fun being a fighter...... (some days)

    Bbender's a Bbeast.

I ran my Monk last night for the first time since splashing in Rogue (4/1) and it went pretty well. Soloed "Garrison's Missing Pack" on Hard w/o dieing - although I was incapacitated twice but stabilized. The ability to sense and find secret doors and traps is a huge benefit. My saves are high enough that most traps don't touch me, but not being able to find the secret doors was a huge hindrance to doing many quests solo.

Alright guys - Bbenders up with you now 11 (10 ftr - 1 caster) I've been holding enhancements to apply at lvl 10 so now he has a +10 to add to crits and my fighter boost puts me to almost +40 to hit for 20 seconds with a natural to hit from +22 to +31

Sarge when you hit 11 we can go back to VON 3 with either Bbender or Vicodiinn.... While B has great damage - the power Vicodiin has some times make Bbender look like a lvl 1 fighter.... we can try it both ways if need be.

But at least I've gone from 8 to 11 in a week and a half - I'll start with the Rogue or the Bard next leveling them up to 11 (or where ever were at)
Any suggestions on which one to level next?
    Were all familiar with rogues.

The Bard is a light mix of Wizard, Cleric and Fighter all in a single class.
He has made it to Warchanter so is able to "sing" +4 Attack / Damage boost for the party now not just a single target - for 5 min and Warchant Damage reduction 6 /- for 1 min 30 seconds (for everyone in the party also) for every hit taken - he throws blur, mage armor, find secret doors (100%) cure light and cure moderate wounds and is specializing in Bastard swords as a fighter - always taking Bbenders hand me downs, as he gets better swords the Bard gets the old "good ones"

I'll bring either up - depending on what we think is needed most - playing them as I have now - I know both can be quite strong in the lvl 11 area.

  66. #66
OK the Bard and Rogue are brought up to the same level now - 6

Specializing Rogue in mechanics until level 12 as a level 6 - 11 assassin is a play on words - not really an assassin but the game says you are - and it makes you waste all your enhancements on it just to say you are one. When level 12 comes around which is assassin level 2 (the real assassin level) I'll respec then.

It took me 1 1/2 weeks to get Bbender from 6 - 11 so I don't see why I can't get one or the other up to 11 by end of Jan.
Rogues suck for solo so it's all pick up groups for exp - the Bard is VERY self sufficient and can solo or PUG no issues.

Didn't get to play tonight, but popped in to advance to level 11. Took a chance and went with a level of fighter which gave me the "spring attack" feat so I maintain my attack strength while moving, some additional toughness, and the ability to wear heavier armor if I choose.

I also used 4 enhancement points to take "Tempest 1" which gives me the following:

ddocompendium wrote:Your training has greatly improved your ability to fight with two weapons at once, granting a 10% competence bonus to dual wield attack speed and a +2 shield bonus to armor class when two-weapon fighting. You may possess only one prestige enhancement line at a time for each class.

This should help me survive a bit more 😀
  68. #68
That's cool that you don't lose ability while moving, so when your running away with Atomm like the sally-asses you are you'll not lose any ability.....

    HAHAHAHAHAA I kill me....

Seriously that is a good feat to have as you can move and fight like you were stationary and not lose any ability.

As far as armor - what can you use now? Looking for anything different?
  69. #69
I need to try on some medium and heavy armor to see how it fits 😀 and make sure that it doesn't hurt my capabilities. So if anyone has a spare suit around that I can see what the difference is between my light and the heavier that would be great. I think the main drawback will be that I loose a bit of my Dexterity bonus, but that may be a good trade off at times for an increased armor class.
  70. #70
That's why I ask - I have 4 -5 sets of Light, Med, and heavy you can try.
  71. #71
We'll have to have a pre-dungeon fashion show then 😄

The first three should be no problem as I wear those types already. I'd like to try the plate armor and see how it affects my stats.

The +3 chain lesser fire guard looks like a nice set with the bonus 30 sp.

I do not run, I make a strategic retreat because all of you are already dead. 😛

    Protecting you Skinny ass.

Leveled the Bard to 7 today - man I really really really like the Bard with the Warchenter prestige kit.
Found out that bard songs and ability buffs are the only thing that Beholders can't debuff.....
  76. #76
Don't level him too fast, I need someone to run my monk with on occasion and I'm stuck at level 5.
