    Dropping Feb 22.
    The quests are all F2P
    I think they will be level 10 ~ 16
(Hence the start a toon at level 7 vet now as 7 is minimum level for a 10 quest)

    3 new free quests:
•The Lords of Dust: The Silver Flame must now contend with an uprising cult! Controlled by the Rakshasas, the cult of the Lords of Dust have one priority- free the ancient demons trapped in Khyber.

•Servants of the Overlord: Venture deep down into Khyber and fight resistance as you attempt to thwart the Rakhasas from freeing the imprisoned "Spinner of Shadows"!

•The Spinner of Shadows: Engage in an ambitious battle as you fight to hold off the release of the Spinner of Shadows! Though beware of thinking your task is over, for a menacing journey awaits…

    Veteran Status (7)

Now start your new character at level 7 and gain a head start! Earn through favor or purchase in the DDO Store!

    New Items Available

Use the Omnispell Dust and Omnispell Stone in place of the material component of any magic spell. Free up inventory space!

    New to the DDO Store:
•Cloak of Resistance- Aid yourself in the defense of magic attacks and traps!

•Necklace of Protection-Increase your armor class by 1!

•+1 Elemental Touch Weapons: A full suite of level 1 weapons are now available!

Gotta find some money for this.
I want to try the new Artificer class.
Want it to be a half elf.
Want to get some of the new content (U11) for my Bard - great gear added in the 7 quest chain level 11 - 16

The underdark looks like it will be a separate purchase EXPANSION - so not just a module here and a pack there but judging from the way Turbine releases this type of content in LOTRO they will sell 20 ~ 30 areas of content for $30 / $40

Same for the Druid class - hopefully it will be a favor/$$ like HElf HOrk - would be silly on Turbine to make it part of the summer update - make people buy content to get a class.

So veteran status will mean starting at level 7 now? Or is that something special that you can buy via the DDO store?

Unknown - that cam out today - so there may be a second level of favor for level 7 - I don't see them changing level 4 to level 7 but who knows?

If there really itching to get people in to the new content they may change it for those of us who already have it unlocked..... would be real nice.

It seems like there is enough new content - especially after the most recent update to take almost a completely different path in leveling characters than what we did previously. That would be pretty cool assuming I was to dive into the game again....

I've yet to look too deep in to it but they said there is a 100% chance of enhancements being re-done.
Still allowing cross enhancement so you don't get roped in to a cretin mold - but more linear and easy to read and understand - and not the crazy amount of EP spending to get little return for your investment.

A lot of people are liking what there doing with it on the Alpha test server - the invite only area.

Did kill off the Ranger / Rogue today - just too much like Dduck to not feel grindy and why grind up a Ranger when I have a capped one already.

Thinking a WF FS Lord of Blades. I have them all unlocked/purchased.
Kind of miss Durrzo - was a mistake to kill him off.

Don't like casters much at all......

Another Paladin (unlikely - but a WF Cleric Paladin...... potential)

Meh I have alt'itus anyway try wash rinse repeat until something sticks.
    That's how I found Ian.

I am going to assume he was named after Durzo Blint? If so I just finished reading that trilogy back in October.

Yup - had to add the 2nd R as Durzo was used in game but the character owner never made it past level 1

I had a Favorite Soul that was level 18 and 2 levels Monk for a bad ass killer with massive speed and specializing in spring attack.
(Capped level in game is 20 - which gets raised to 25 this summer)

FS in game are specialized healers that also get the ability to cast and wear armor and wield swords where Clerics (typical MMO healers) less armor, blunt weapons not great fighters.

Figured Durrzo was an Appropriate name.
He was fun and completely capable of solo play in maps that typically required 6 to play.

And Yes named after Brent Weeks character.

The more I think of it.... the more I want to bring him back.

He replaced my SUPER healer which I called Vicodin.....

FWIW - Brought Zero AI back now as a WF (What else with a name like Zero AI?) FS
Following a build that is Lord of Blades (Great Sword spec) more points in to strength and fighting with healing and raid healing worked in by level 16 - but working up to it more of a fighter that can heal....

    Looks like an interesting build.
And I love me some toasters.

You have far too many toons
  13. #13
    Correction:

I've tried and deleted a shit ton of toons.
Being F2P I have 4 slots - and I purchased one slot when they were on sale a year or so ago - they were really really cheap and I had points left over form VIP.

Dduck - who will never go

Ian - who has really earned his play in the garage.

Ethel - while I like her - I really need to group play with you all know to see if she turned out the way I think she should have. Dual w/Joe I take on too much of a fighter roll and not the CC roll I intended for her. She's too squish for that and starting to show low group count weakness.

OPEN SPOT - This is were the Rogue - Ranger/Rogue - Paladin - Build'itis happens. So far I kind of regret getting rid of Codexxxx the Paladin. But I needed something low level to play so she went away.
Now I'm using this spot for Zero - as I said before I miss having a FS and I do miss having a WF ..... Shows good potential level 4 and I have 540 spell points already.

JunFann - Monk 20 is the last spot - and Monk is a pay to play class - which I haven't yet payed for so he's locked away in cold storage and every time I log on I get the YOU DO NOT OWN THE MONK CLASS message and he is greyed out in my start screen.

So all in all I now only have 4 playable toons slots.

When I went F2P then first time I logged on I was forced to delete down to 4 slots.
It was hard deleting a level 20 FS with 4 tier 3 GS items and an ass load of real good gear. Along with 3 other mid level experiments.

Losing Durrzo sucked. Thanks for making me cry you big poopoo head.
