Anyone get Euroforces?

    Just wondering if anyone broke down and got the Euroforces expansion pack?

    I haven't. Have read mixed reviews of it from PBF and TotalBF2 regulars but it is hard to tell whether the overall feeling is generally good or bad about it.

    I actually did not know it was available yet. I will get it. It is only $10 and hey, more BF2. I do agree that it should be free though, damn EA!

    Then again I have not had much SF play as no one ever seems to want to play that.

    I would be happy to play SF. I acutally like it better than Vanilla and have not played it since the patch.

    As for the expansion, I think I will wait.

    I am pissed now!
    I am at work and had a min so thought I would get Euro Forces.
    So I remote desktop home so I could DL directly to my machine.

    Now here I am on EA’s site TRYING to create an account. I already get E-mails from EA and have registered with the before but it does not recognize any information I put it.
    Maybe the EA downloader is a separate thing, fine.

    I am trying to create a username. I cannot get anything descent.
    I tried paladin, paladin1, 1paladin, 1_paladin, paladin_1, all taken or invalid! Sheesh what a pain in my ass!
    Also tried variants on another user name I use often. No go.

    Fine so I go with my real name.

    Funny thing is I have a fairly unique first name and my last name is totally unique in the fact that no one else outside my direct family has it. 100% sure of this one..

    I know no one that has my last name plays games at all.

    Okay so here I go I tried my first name only. EA is saying my first name is in use. Hmm okay maybe.
    Fine I will simply use my last name. Now it is saying my last name is in use. Umm Not very likely at all.

    So I said to hell with it and I even tried firstnamelastname and it is saying THAT is in use!!! Completely impossible!
    What the F!!!!!!


    I am just pissed off. I hate having weird user id’s anymore than I have to.
    I don't want nameP or some weird shit it recommends.

    What a pain. I know Drix has Euro. You'll have to telll us how it is Paladin

    Whoops, I didnt' think it would hurt to use your handle and real name for creating accounts.

    Paladin..... You know see why we are so jaded.... Tired of crap like that....

    Also, if you don't sign up with the correct name, it will cause even more problems because it thinks you are using a different account.

    I refuse to unless your are allowed to have physical possession of the installer, Download only installers will hurt those of us who put on LAN's.

    Guess someone was actually paying attention to Xfire last Wednesday. Goodness knows I didn't see anyone on when I was playing. Still, I like the new maps. So far they play very well the snipers and ground pounders amoung us. I actually had 42 kills and 3 deaths one a great wall round that day. Still, it't been since Thursday's Lan @ Goahed's since I played anything.

    I'll sya this it ain't bad. The maps are well done. But Friday if we're going to choose between this and special forces I say we play some special forces. I've got a few maps fo that I've been itching to play with some decent squad players.

    I bought it over the weekend. I still have yet to be able to actually play it. It keeps telling me I need to install/buy it when I click on a map. ummm I DID!!!!
    DocJon found one post about it that mentioned making sure your gamespy id is set to your game id and I did that. It was listed as 1paladin but when I tried 1_Paladin (cap P) it says that name is in use. So is it case sensitive?? Then it gave me a message saying I can only change my gamespy id 3 times in a week and now I have to wait to try again? If that is the problem….

    Not happy…

    Does anyone have any knowledge of gamespy? I am confused as if I launch gamespy itself it accepts my login then yells at me that my name is already used and prompts me to select another one. WHY? I am confused to what account is what now. Damn…

    Good review - reviewer didn't care for it that much and explains exactly why.

    Pass this on to your friends. This seems to be the single most difficult roadblock for EF purchasers. In the future we'll try and get this wording improved.
