Just a heads up. CompUSA has the ATI X850 Pro video card on sale.

Not a bad deal at all for $180 with the $100 instant rebate.

Wonder if it is better than my X800XT? 12 pipes versus my 16 but it has a faster core clock. hmmmmm

I was just friggin' there yesterday too. I picked up that G15 keyboard.... dont' ask 🙁

Not bad on the vid card, but I think I want a 512k card next time to better handle ut2007. Its going to be a resourse hog, worse than BF2.

See any other benefits to this card?

hehhee so is that $180-100 or is that 280-100. We dont' have a compUSA around, but it's sold out online anywho. Not to mention I just did a ram upgrade so the vid card will be a while out still.

First congrats on the G15. Good choice, I frekin love mine.
We will have to dweeb, I got into all the cool utilities you can do with it.

Second, do not wait for a 512MB (not K) card. You will be waiting a long time for them to come out at a descent price. They seem to be slow in coming out. Look at most of the top end cards, still 256MB. When they do start coming out they will be expensive for awhile. Then again in this business you never know. I would never predict these things as the industry is ever changing. What is pricey now could be cheap in a year.

I would rather play with better graphics now myself then wait. When the cool cards with 512MB video memory in PCIE format are out and are reasonable priced, and you need to upgrade your MB at that time, then go for it. 

Most games cannot use more than that anyway. I know that will bring a discussion.
