    Ok, it's official..... I'm excited about a battlefield game again!

    It's like they actually get it....... It's funny and it looks fun..... Did you see the two guys on the wings of the plane? Brings back memories.......

    If you look at the site, notice the picture of the soldier down half way on the page, then look at the one below him. They look nothing alike. I kind of thought that was funny considering all the promotional material for TF2 looked just like the actual game.

    I hate to be the naysayer here, but somehow EA will F this up. We have seen it too many times. BF2 has the greatest engine, but since they won't support it or the community, it went to shit. TF2 had more custom maps and mods in the first week than BF2 has now 3 years later.


    I hope this game pans out. I miss fun in BF, but I won't hold my breath on EA

    Anyone figure out what the other game he couldn't talk about was?

    I'm really excited to see this. I miss WWII and I miss fun games, except TF2 and this may be just the ticket.

    Anyone remember Army Men from back in day? I loved playing that video game and melting the other soldiers with the flame thrower.... This reminds me of that.... Ah, Barbecue....

    FYI, keep in mind, this is not a First Person Shooter. It is a Third Person Shooter......

    Could this be an attempt to possibly move battlefield into a more (WOW) style? Play your character, territories? Leveling up? Customizable characters and use special abilities?

    That has been said several times.... If this turns out to be fun, they could pull it off.

    Not to mention the first taste is free, but the deluxe model Tank will cost you.....

    A new preview. Sounds less and less like TF2 all the time.

    Things that caught my eye:

    - you can "buff" your player with experience points (and/or maybe $)
    - two maps to start
    - can ride on the wings of planes
    - your character is persistent and you chose a side from the beginning

    Oh crap, we will never be able to come together as a group and pick a side.....

    He also says that casual gamers have better spatial awareness in third-person...


    Oh man, we should so pwn in this game!!!!

    see 3rd person has always been disconcerting to me
