IAR - In A Round. But is a "round" considered one play of a map - or - one set of a map. IE. If a server runs the same map 3 times is that considered a round?
You see I have the time and all the pre requisites for the Assault Veteran and the Support Veteran Combat.
I pass the IAR: 20 kills while Support while playing I have the basic badges and I have the time required for the badges......
So I'm thinking I need to do well on all the maps in the same rotation or find some servers that do not have such a high count....
IAR is one round.. if the server plays the map 3 times it doesnt matter.. its taken individual.. otherwise I'd of gotten my Legion of Merit long ago.. only recently got it when I hit 54 Teampoints in one round..
I think these guys are right. The confusion comes from the server setting for the number of times a map is played. It is also called a round. So, if you have the Rounds set to 3, it plays the map 3 times.
However, in this case, I believe a round is a single map. Also, sometimes it's easier to get things on servers with no time limits. As long as the teams are balanced, those matches can last a while.
Then Grrrrrrr. I tried some EA (Rat Bastards!) servers last night, but if it was a good map for killing then I would end up with 19 kills, or I would join on a map that was good (city) but it would be 3/4 over, then they changed to a wide open map with 64 players, no way in hell would I get that....
I hate it when that happens.. took me long enough to beat my kill streak of 45.. got it up to 49 finally.. as mentioned before easier to do those on larger servers because of the ticket ratio..
Found a server that had 20 ppl on a 64 - no time limit - no ticket count. BINGO got assault vet plus my destinguished service, meritorious unit and combat action in one map.
Hell yeah it is. (Both breach of term for rank and agonizingly slow to get stuff.) Hell it took me 3 1/2 hours (YES HOURS) to get the kills and awards on the server.
Picked up 2 more ribbons today from the slow side, then people started showing up and tha maps ran too fast....
It's the ONLY way I can stomach the shit that came in the box. Pick a badge, play my way, screw supporting the team, become a squad leader and lock the squad of one. Become a commander and support my self with arty and ammo, let the little people fend for them selves and play for points.
Get the badge, pick another one. Wash - rinse - repeat. Screw team work. It's highly over rated. It's all about me.
As a side note I stopped hacking, I've removed all the cheats and deleted the 2 accounts I was using for the hacks.
It stops being fun after a few weeks.
Although raiding a server to cause mayhem with is still funny as hell! When you all are playing by the rules and 6 - 12 people show up place c4 on all equipment and blow it all up at once. Or stack both sides, kill everyone but the 2 of you and let the clock run out with even flags, so the tickets stop ticking.... It make the goody two shoes players mad with rage.
