1) What I was talking about is if I tried to search, the serverlist blanked out. I clear my search and the list stays blank.
2) I only play Official EA US .... servers besides our own.
Oh well, Yeah I was playing last night the server, or team was behind 56 to 90. Then again we did not have a commander on our team. I applied and about 40 minutes later we won with 10-0 left. That was really cool. I scored over 70 points just being commander. Did they change the points system for commander? I haven't checked the readme other than the TK for arty. I do have to say that I never did TK a teammate using Arty. I got 2 promotions during the match much like others are experiencing. I got back in about an hour later and all my points and promotions were gone. Oh well.
Seems like a few people have been having that issue. Dick S. and 25th from [CAT] both have received promotions in game but they never register so that they can get their unlocks. You might try email EA tech support.
My issue has been with the VOIP. I can hear everyone just fine in the channel, but cannot use my mic. It is either dead or overmodulated and produces static. None of the changes to the settings in game, or via windows has changed a thing. Works fine in TS though. grrrrrr. Guess I may need to follow my own advice and talk to the Rat Bastards.
Yeah... I only play EA US ranked servers when not playing here. For 2 days my BF2 did not update. Funny thing. When my stats started updating again last night, my server browser started working as well. ?? Go figure.

to get the list again: type in a bogus IP then try to connect. when error comes up click update. should work then.
Finally got around to installing the patch, connected once and it was crawling. So I did some system maintenence only to cause a display meltdown. Finally this afternoon I got on to get a point for promotion, disconnected then got on this evening to pick 2 new weapons. I have less than 3500 point and have 3 unlocks.
LOL! Crazy thing seems to start working better each time I exit and reenter. Everything appears to be fine now.
Mines! They may have fixed that problem. I was barreling through one of the city maps, One of my guys had laid out some fresh mines in my path that I did not notice. I tried to stop but I rolled right over them with no BOOM? In my panic I still had reverse going and I backed right back over them. Nothing happened. Was I lucky or does your own guys mines not go off on you? Oh, and you can pick up the other guy's mines. :twisted: :twisted:
That is awesome about picking up the mines. I hadn't noticed. I still have issues with the browser, but I am reformatting today and hopefully that'll help my cause. I noticed the other day while the vehicles don't run you over quite so easy, I was walking towards a flag and walked into the front of a stationary APC and died from it.
