I've had it installed since last years Quakecon. I played it there a few times, but didn't really get into it. This weekend, I played it again at our local LAN and had a blast. It's a lot slower pace than BF42, but I felt more like I was in NAM than in WW2. There was a lot more sneaking involved and I kind of liked that.
Yea, it has Iron Sights, but it is really fun.
We had a server installed. If anyone is interested and after I finish getting Half Life set up for Baz, I can take a look at bringing it back online if there is any interest.
I currently have my Buddy Wicks copy, but don't have it installed as I did a reformat not that long ago. I could play a few rounds, but I should give it back to him pretty soon. Never tried it for the multiplayer.

I played some CoD online last night and it was nothing like my previous experiences. It was way more chaotic than I remember and the guns were harder to shoot than I remember. It reminded me of Enemy Territory.
I think I want to find a server with a smaller group than 28.
Might have been a server with stock weapons. The COD clan I'm also a member of uses a weapon mod that makes things alittle easier to hit with.
Atomm, give the game a chance to grow on you - it is faster than BF but it forces you to think about what your doing instead of doing it and live with the consequences!

OK server issue figured out, needed to patch to 1.5 Now that I'm patched I have a PunkBuster problem.
If in the settings I have PB off then I can not join any PB servers. If I have PB oON, I can play for about 45 seconds then I get kicked for 0 seconds becouse
"No PunkBuster Packet flow."
This game hates me..... Any Ideas why PB keeps kicking me?
Take a look at the COD forums on PlanetCOD and others. Never heard of that one before. Seems like there is something in the PB ID that you have that updating during the game isn't working. Might thave to update PB...
One of our guys got PB hosed by playing around with the files and PB caught it. Our admin is trying to get him reinstated but things dont look good...
Really... CoD, hmmm... damn, don't do this to me. Just started a new server on WoW and you pull out the CoD card. Since building the new machine I have yet to install CoD; however, think I will reinstall it. 🙂
I sent a trouble ticket to evenbalance, they have yet to reply. I think it's because I have no PB folder inside the main COD file.
Could someone with a working COD patched to 1.5 tell me if they have a folder PB in the COD game. Another give away i s that online if you pull the console and type
pb_homepath
you should get the path to PunkBuster. I have no reply....
CoD annoys me too much.. It's fun as a single player.. but.. 1 shot of a Zook kills a Tiger? I dont think so 😛 I need some sort of realism & balance..
From the Mage Con LAN I have a Copy of United Offensive.. never used in the box for sale if anyone wants to buy it cheap.. Nobody at the LAN would take it 😛
Well since I have had a lot of time over this weekend sitting in front of 2 POS computers rebuilding them for family members, I have reinstalled COD and BFV and everything has been updated.
