Before I started my move to VA, I was playing around and was able to fly through broken buildings... But now... I have a whole new outlook on this... I need my system out of storage so I can start working on these things!!!
I've done the backwards flip land a few times on accident, but I couldn't do it wanting too. I'd like to know how they get the flight controls so sensitive to pull something like that off. I can't even bank that fast with a joystick but I can somewhat do it with a kb and mouse but not well enough to complete.
You have to follow the power band (or acceleration curve) of the roll and pitch. Start slow and speed up your mouse movements as it starts tilting. A good way to see this theory directly is to man a tank and try to get the turrent going around in a continuous blur. It's possible....if you follow the power band.
Anybody notice how the videos always cut as they came down unstable? Yeah, that's cause they haven't mastered Master Hitpawz's reorienting the choppers style.
The synch was impressive. Very. It appeared to be one person controlling the both of 'em. I bet it took a hundred takes on each maneuver and then it was edited to look like they're spot on. I made a video of me shooting 100 perfect shots in a row on the basketball court when I was a youngun. It took about 2 months to shoot and edit. Since it was like 1987 at the time, the editing wasn't by software, but by rewinding the camera and recording over the missed shots 🙂
It actually turned out like crap since the time it took to make was so long. The lighting shifted and construction was happening in the BG, LOL. I really wanted it to look like one continuous scene so I used a cardboard drum which I set markers for on the ground to position the same each time. I did the same for the tripod and disallowed my entire family from using the camera 🙂 I also ran up to the drum and reached in each time to get a new ball in the same exact way and angle as every time to try and figure out a composite for one fluid scene. It's funny, because my whole entire point was to show a drum that was like a never-ending source for basketballs. The idea to make all the shots sink with a swish came way later. In the end it turned out just like a montage set to music. Basically, it failed. Eventually, what we did was have my buddy sit on top of teh backboard, out of view, and every time I lobbed a ball wildly, he would throw another one down through to a perfect shot. But LOL, you could see his feet and shadow and the person on the ground passing it back up and everything. Lots of childhood failures shaped the cretin you guys are growing to abhore 🙂
im glad you guys liked it...i dont think they fight, i think they are just a stunt squad. if you want better control flying...disconnect your joystick, ignore your mouse and use only your keyboards wasd and arrow keys. fly with me in the cobra and ull see what i mean.
WOW, I never even tried with just the keyboard. LOL, I was able to pull much of that off in the first night (with many retries). Even with a Chinook! Now if I can just home in on regular piloting skillz there ain't no tellin which helo I could crash best! LOL, pretty freeky to see a chinook coming at you doing barrel rolls... heheheheh..... I found the Cobra, OH6 and Chinook easiest to control.... My fav helo, uh1 took some time. Practice practice .... hehehe... Now to get the mind to realize a d are the turning keys..... i still have to think about it, I want to use the <- -> to pivot. Can't wait to see how i do when it becomes natural.
Somebody should record my patented spin with the spawn crate technique. That and my lip tricks on the sides of buildings and my ground tumble routine 🙂
My favorite thing is taking people up and Bust out a Big A$$ Backflip into a ballerina spin. <----------Thats when you have your nose almost straight down, while spinning like a Top on methanphtamens.
Atomm said I made him a sick I was spinning so fast.
He called it The Death spin which sounds a little better than The ballerina spin lol.
We need to Orginize The First Annual Helo Stunt Olympics.
