I'm still concerned about the delay. It was significant enough to make me wonder what they are really up too... I am scared that it's unlocks.....
There are unlocks in the game already. It's just that they aren't persistent and you have to earn them through each campaign (or whatever it's called).
They talk about the game being close to beta already which I think bodes well for it if they can get into beta early in the fall and then have a few months to tweak and play with it before it officially releases in January.
Yeah this is the one I am excited for
I am more siked for this than I can even put into words. I have not been this excited since I originally heard about BF2. This will be our BF2 replacement for sure if it lives up to even half of what we see in the videos.
It will also be nice to finally get away from EA.
The one thing I cannot understand is why in the hell would they not have pushed this forward one month in time for Christmas. I mean seriously... missing this is really stupid.

Here's my thoughts on the release date.... While it is possible things can get lost in the crowd, there is enough grass roots momentum for this game that I imagine it will make every fanboi's Christmas wish list. Cool Grandma's around the world will be happy to plop $50 down for juniors present, even if she has no idea what it is.....
According to NPD, January is one of the worst months to release any product because everyone is broke and sick of shopping anyway..... Video Games are especially hard hit during this time because of the fact I mentioned earlier....
There is one strategy that just might work. Rather than competing with everyone, they release the demo prior to Thanksgiving and just like BF42, give us two months to play the crap out of it, making us want it just that much more.
I could see that being a good move, especially with all the free time students will have during the break.
I dunno, but there is something up here and I wish we could find out what.... The only thing I can think of is XBox payed them some money to release it on XBox 360 as an exclusive or even a XBox/Games For Windows exclusive and they are holding off until the port to XBox is up to par with the PC.....
