This is getting close to what I have always said is the Holy Grail for gamers, photo realism FPS games. It is just waiting for the technology to catch up to allow us to do it. This looks really good.
Will it be multiplayer? I need to look into it more.
I believe it will have Multiplayer, but it is going to focus on the Single Player Experience.
FarCry, the previous game from CryTek was an awesome game. The graphics were beautiful and the Single Player was very engaging. Unfortunately, the multiplayer sucked ass. I kind of expect this to follow the same pattern. 🙁
I did hear it would support the new Physix Technology.
I played a good chunk of FarCry and enjoyed it. I got stuck in a location that had 3 doors and you need 3 keys. I got all the keys but the last door would not open for me at all no matter what I tried so I just said F-it. I have gotten stuck on other games as well and lose patience with them.
CryTek is an awesome company and I look forward to anything they crank out. 😉

I think you got stuck because installed that cheater. Never went back and tried to finish it eh?.. Oh well, the end was a GD bitch to get through. Great game tho, but noway I'd want to try it online with those graphics.

_I_ got stuck a couple levels later, but I used a cheater to get past where I should've been able to, and was able to finish the game. . .though I admit to cheating to finish the last level or 2. That shit was crazy!!!
FarCry was a great looking game with incredible mapping tools. It had two problems. They didn't support linux servers until almost a year latter. At the time it came out, Windows servers were getting a premium, so this hurt the online play.
The second problem is the online play was just too darn slow for most people.
There were some incredible looking mods being developed for FarCry, but due to the lack of online support, many of them died out before releasing anything. This was a shame because I would have loved a WWII Pacific Theatre mod with the Jungle.
I just hope Crysis makes up for these flaws so we can get some incredible mods and great online play.....
