Hey guys, I don't know if ya'll have tried this one out yet, but this is a ported version of El Alamein for BFV. A noticable difference though is this one is covered with grasslands, and the VC base has a lot of trees (that's why the US used napalm). Other than that, the you'll find the layout very familiar.

You can download from either http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=4860 or http://www.fileplanet.com/files/130000/139091.shtml. If you already have the map, it's possible you may have the unoptimised version. You can get the up-to-date at either of the two links.

I hear some of you guys are mappers, and if ya'll would be interested, I would like your help. I think this map has potential. It may need some changes at some point, and it could really use some AI. If you have any ideas for making the map better, and/or if you can give it some bots, then that would be great. You can even put your name on the map as the author. I currently don't have time to figure out pathmapping and all that good stuff, so it would be nice to find someone who has experience with maps, or at least is willing to take this on.

    email me if you're interested:

I may have posted this in the wrong forum....sorry about that.

Well, if your toolazy2p, I guess I can't hold it against you for being toolazy2readtheforumtitles. 🙂

Actually, we've only focused on Multiplayer maps. I don't think anyone has done bots yet. We'll download it and take a look at it. If you post a particular night you would like to test it, we might be able to get a few people on. Just don't pick Friday or Saturday. Try to give us a weeks notice, so everyone has a chance to see it.

I'm curious, did you import El Alamein from BF42 or recreate it from scratch? I'd love to see all the original maps ported to BFV.

Whenever you want to play it is fine with me.

For this map, I imported the original El Alamein heightmap, so the terrain is the same. The positions of flags and most buildings are also the same as before.

The screen shots look very cool. I can't wait to check this out. Did you have to do all the building placement over? Was it clearly outlined? Keep in mind, I've never actually used BFC, I've only drawn out what I want and Raze does all the hard work. 🙂

Yeah, I had to do the building placement over, but since I used the same heightmap, all I had to do was copy and paste the cooridinates from BC42 to BCV.
