Ever play it?
I just found a deal on EQ main application and 5 "bonus packs" (?) what ever the other world / areas are called for $10.00

Is it pay to play or buy it and no pay to play????

Trying to research it now on the net, just did not know if ant of you have tried it.

I played the original Beta. Like all good games, it made me sick.

It requires a monthly fee. If you really want to get into something like that, just take your meds and suck down the wowcrack.

Yah I found that it's $10 / month or $90 / year

you know that I refuse to pay to play any online game.
There was a fantasy MMO that you dd not have to pay once you bought the game, anyone remember what it was?

Guild Wars? I played a free weekend and it felt more like Mortal Combat than RPG.

There was Hellgate: London which went belly up in less than a year of release.

Guild Wars was it.. and it is a fairly decent MMO with more emphasis on small teams and less emphasis on kill stealing. Everything is instanced so the experience is similar to an open world crpg with towns populated by the interwebs. Its worth a trial and it is getting cheaper as GW2 is approaching release.
