I was at Buy More (Best Buy) yesterday to pickup the $10 BF1942 and I ended up getting FC2. I was always a fan of the first one and the second one looks just as tempting.
I'm in the process of loading it... Ran into a small problem last night, but i'll fix that after work today.
I wanted it until I learned it has an invasive Kernel Level driver that does not uninstall if the game is uninstalled. This same driver prevents you from running programs like Alcohol 120 and Daemon Tools.

Yah, I picked this up as well. Not too pleased with the securom crap either. Its also sluggish play wise as compared to anything else. I had to create a new profile just to get it to run. No way I'd ever play it online. Farcry was much better imo.
AVG didnt' much care for it either, and yah, forget daemon tools. This is why I passed on BioShock too.
I think it was your power supply all along. Of course, I never, ever said, hey, try another power supply. 😛
You do realize that by skipping BF42, you are forcing me to dig in my couch for $10 in change just to buy you a stink'n christmas present that you could have bought for yourself, right? 😈
Apparently they have already given in and have an exe that replaces the original. I ran into the daemon tools issue and did a little searching on some forums. I ended up downloading a patched (from securom) exe that works beautifully!! 😉
I like the gameplay, albeit a little slow getting started in story mode. No playability issues with the 8800 card and mostly "very high settings" by default.
I'd like to play this in multiplayer! Anyone? Maybe I'll setup a host server here at the house?!
