Fixed the login problem to play Euro Forces...finally!

WOW!. I have been having a heck of a time trying to solve this. I made sure my gamespy id was the same as my gamename per all the advice here. Mine was still not working.

After much playing around I finally opened up my
Profile.con file.

This is under where your profiles are stored.

Defaults to your c: … My DocumentsBattlefield 2 folder.

Somehow my old clans sig prefix was listed along with my game name under all the
settings.

LocalProfile.setName "gamename"
LocalProfile.setNick " gamename"
LocalProfile.setGamespyNick "gamename"

I have no idea how but there it was. Maybe from a previous patch??

Anyway I simply removed that excess information so only my actual game name was there like above (gamename = your in game name) and now I can FINALLY log onto EF servers!

Sounds like a real PITA! Glad you were able to get it resolved. Some of the SH=00=TERS dudes had similar problems but resolved them in different ways I think. Maybe your explanation of how you fixed it was better? Dunno. Anyway, if you are looking for a little EF action and want a squad mate, let me know. My XFire ID is aaapunishment.

I really want to know about the air power. Is it a pain or more like SF?
