FNF Friday the 13th January 2006

Ok Guys how about for Friday the 13th we go in the "way back machine" and pull out one of our custom map packs and do a GRB 42 custom map night??

1 problem. No server that I know of.

If we want to play 'nilla 42 or a mod there are servers out there, but I doubt we will find a custom map one.

Wait how much pipe do we need? I have a real nice server sitting in my home. My pipe might be able to handle it.

I just don't have it in me....

Was thinking 42, but don't really care. We haven't really checked out that Codenam Eagle mod yet. Don't even know if any servers are running it.

just got BF42 reinstalled.... ah it was so nice... to actually be able to hit a person in the head and kill them with one shot...

So what's the plan? '42 CTF? CAT's are playing EOD if we wanted to do that. Anything else?

I think that the latest version for BF42 was the .45 which came out last October. They are supposed to be releasing another version for BFV any time now, but that hasn't happened yet.

Looks like it is a "maybe" on the CAT side now. Not a lot of response to the idea from members. We could always do CTF if that falls through - either with '42 or BF2 I am up for either.

I will be on as early as I can, but I wouldn't expect to see me before 9:00.

I overclocked my machine to 3.4ghz from 3, bf42 crashed after about 10 minutes and then I remembered BF42 could not handle the overclock. SO i reversed it. I didn't notice until i quit tonight that I severely underclocked my machine.. hehe... I had underclocked it to 2ghz. HAHAHAHAHAH... didn't see a bit of lag or overprocessing. but then again it was bf42! YEA!

It was a good time. There were a few things I struggled with like sprinting, but beyond that, I forgot how much fun 42 really was.

meh. It was ok. I had fun playing CTF, but it just........seemed............really...........slow. That and I got my ass handed to me a lot 🙂

Yea. I got my ass handed too me too. I agree with the slowness aspect. My new Razor mouse was causing me all sorts of fits. I found myself over shooting my targets a lot. I don't have that problem in BF2.

Man did I have fun, and all the better that the Beer Vision guys showed up. They are a class act that are fun to play with/against. I used to spend alot of time on their server in my pre-GRB days... kinda like an ex-girlfriend.
