Hello everyone, just like to say that I am really excited about the up comming friday night custom map night, well saturday morning for me in Oz.
Thanks to Atomm and the crew a GR for hosting my first map Bay of Dragons and for upping the ping kick to make it possible for me to play halfway around the world.
As a mapper I would have to say that this is a great occasion for me, cause all I really want is for people to be able to play and enjoy and say that was FUN.
Nights like these keep the mapping community going, and will definetly keep me mapping.
One apology though, the custom kit TRAPPER wont work, it's in the map .rfa but unfortunately I forgot to add it to the init.con. Assault sniper is there however.
I've invited some people from TOG clan hope you dont mind. (mainly my dad OldGrunt)
Will definetaly say hello in the TS server, I'm not shy.....
Also thanks to hitpawz for pointing me in the direction of Gamers Radio in the first place, hope to see you there pawz.
I haven't sent the files to ephil for the custom installer. Can you get the updated version to me? I would be happy to use it instead.
Raze is one of the GRB mappers. He actually comes over my house to play. I've seen how excited he gets when we play his maps. Matter of fact, we are playing Operation Hanoi Garden from Raze Friday Night as well.
We can't wait to play it. It looks great. Maybe one of these days we can hook up with another group in Australia to host a second server for FNF - CMN. Add another one in Europe and we can do 24 hours around the world! :-)
I'll be there for sure, Croup. Will talk to you then. That's awesome that your pops is gonna be there too. Any way to get your sister in there too? I kid. No, seriously, she'll be there right?
It's a fun night for sure. Invite as many as you'd like. Should it get full, people will be coming and going all night, so it will open up intermittently as we progress.
Glad you will be able to make it Croupier and I hope you guys have fun - looks like a good group of maps again this month. Unfortunately I have some family obligations to take care of this weekend and will be out of town  and won't be able to play on Friday night.
Yeah, I'm excited one of my maps are going to be in the mix, but like Sarge will be unable to attend. I have some friends coming over that night and I don't have broadband (it will be available in about 2 months in my area, YEA, no more Broadband black hole for me!!!) ) or i'd join really late. I usually head over to Atomm's and jump on. But I don't think he'd appreciate me coming over 11:30pm our time to jump on.. HEHEHE,,,
I'll see what I can do about adding Trapper, other than that its fini. All I need to do is add one word in the .init file. However getting onto a server for upload may take time, so dont wait for me, meanwhile I'll see what I do.
All this talk has got me Xcited as well. Looks like were gonna have a great friday.

It is pretty kick a$$. I felt the same way when they chose my first map for BF-1942 called Fields of the Fallen.
Its sooooo exciting to play something you have worked on for soooo long with more than 2 people. And you wouldnt believe how much stuff has happened because of it. I met alot of cool people, joined a clan, started competing online, learnd countless new programs, joined a MoD team (I think your familiar with it  ) So much stuff, all cause of Friday Night Fights and |GRB|.
I'm with Lou, GRB and their FnF pretty much opened the world of modding/mapping to me. I falsly thought I was pretty proficient when doing it alone, but having a lot of people sharing the same interest and giving their advice is just paramount to doing this stuff right. Hell, one day in the distant future, the number of people who have actually seen my map might reach 3.
I see our master plan to take over the world is working!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
Actually, it has been great. I started this custom map thing almost a year ago to break up the boredom that can set in playing the same maps over and over. It has had it's ups and downs, but we've had some great times. To this day, the first time we played LoU's Fields of the Fallen is a zen moment for me and BF42. I can 't say it any other way. It was the most intense and thrilling game of conquest I have ever played on BF42. Some CTF matches have come close, but only close.
What has been the coolest thing is this event has brought some great guys to GRB and we all try to chip in to support what they do. We've always featured GRB maps in everything we do. In addition, we have looked for the best of the best to play during these events. I don't want to sound like a dick, but I am picky about the maps we play. (Sometimes I'm wrong, but hey, what can you do.) A large part of that is because the mappers in GRB are some of the best. They have raised the bar. And, from what we have seen, these same guys are the one's that have been the most excited to play your map. That is a compliment. So, I hope we have a good turn out and I hope your connection holds up from half way around the world.

Hey Hitpawz...What's this pops business 😛 ... you should ask her yourself http://www.leighredhead.com
Any way I'm hoping to see how Croupier's map runs with more than a couple of people in it and check out these other maps.

Hi Atomm, I run a BF:V and BF:42 server for our clan http://www.theoldergamers.com and we should certainly take a look at franchising FNF downunder 😀
That sounds very cool. Let's keep in touch and next month, we will include your server on our release info to PlanetBattlefield and FPSCentral. How many players can your server handle? I've noticed the custom maps are more demanding, so you may have to take your server specs into consideration.
