Fun that was spoiled.

I was playing BF2 today around noon because i lacked about 20 point to increase in rank. There is an EA server that i get a good ping to that always has 2-3 slots open when our server is sitting at 0. We'll anyway's I was playing and I was having one of those moments that atomm talks about. I had my best game on (Good Showing for GRB). i had taken out 4 tanks and 2 linebackers, 3 cobras... this game went on and on. I switched over to special forces and, I found a spot that I could C4 the fool out of armory that was coming out of their base, on top of that, the commander on our team dropped me a friendly supply gift from the sky so I was set for reloading. A couple guys tried to come and get me, and all i could say was I was never so accurate.

Well to make a long story short, for a guy that averages 14 to 23 points in a game, I had 68 points at this time. With about 7 tickets left on their side, I seen movement coming in at me from the high grass. The other team had tried this a couple times unsuccessfully. I went to zoom in and

CRASH TO DESKTOP!

I was so ticked. All those points lost. I was not a happy camper. I went to reconnect to the server and half the players were gone. I wonder if the server caused the CTD?

Man, that sucks.

Atomm, I will show you up and go out on a limb here. ;-) It's not only possible, but it is true that something did in fact cause it.

Something weird happened in this thread, I posted to it last night and it's not here. Hope I didn't have to adminned for some reason.

We need to disable the quick reply. It's started erroring out since I added some security features to the server. 🙁

Hmmm.... i haven't had any problems with the quick reply? Only problem I have is the speed of the site.

Raze...something just caught my eye for the first time. Is there purpose to the way supermans cape is 'flowing in the wind' in your sig? It sure looks like a BIG red...uh....something else when you just scroll by real fast.


Maybe your CTD was due to the pc being afraid of that big cape you're packin.

oh and ^that and this were both using quick reply. If I took the time it takes for the reply screen to load before saying things I would never post.

Your the 2nd person to say that about the Superman. I've been coming up with a new Idea that incorporates the XFile stuff. should be done by this evening.

I say leave the quick bar. I can live with it.
Using the postreply button doubles my already limited time.

I only use the quick reply.

Secondly, I have goten the BSOD twice now with BF2......I sure hope 1.03 fixs it!!!
