sorry, didn't realize it said something different on the main page. The link below says the following:
January 6, 2006
Due to the overwhelming response to the GetPaid2PlayBF2.com Stat System MyInternetServices.com is please to announce that another prize will be added in February.
Beginning in February, MyInternetServices.com will be offering an additional $100 cash drawing chosen randomly from players with 12 or more hours of game play on our listed servers.
Our goal is to continually improve the prizes and number of chances for players to win from GetPaid2PlayBF2.com. We appreciate your support... Now get fragging!
Sounds good to me. I dug into some of the other sites. Interestingly enough, to sign up your own server for their list is $25 a month. I have a feeling these guys are on to something.
I bet we play at least 12 hours a month. Might as well play on their servers. ;-)
not to rain on the parade and if you guys go to play there I will too, but I bet the servers are packed with noob tubers and jerks, but I guess we'll see
P.S. What the hell, I play 3 hours a day, I need a better video card, what harm. The FAQ says 25 hours and another place it says 12 hours. I should have 12 by next Wednesday.
I signed up, and will track my stats to see if it tracks me like they say it does.
I am sure that there are a variety of spellings, but in BF2 it is someone who runs around with the grenade launcher blasting at everyone close by. You can set them off at your feet just about without killing yourself. The patch will add an activation range to those things so that if you shoot it at someone right next to you it will likely just bounce away 🙂
A noobtuber uses a no skill shot to kill their opponent with Splash damage before they can be killed, while taking little to no damage themselves. Therefore, a person who plays this style of game lacks real skill and is taking advantage of an obvious flaw in the game's mechanics. DICE claims to have fixed this in the next patch. We will see.....
Personally, I have no problem with Grenade launchers. I loved the way they worked in BFV, but the BF2 implementation just sucks.
shhh, people that are under 10k... man do they suck
Nothing will ever beat the night in BFV when I launched a 'nade across the river in Ho Chi Mihn at a guy who was standing on a tunnel. Just as the nade blew up 8 guys spawned and I got 9 kills at once.
Yeah I defended a flag last night on Shaquri (SP?) got a 6 pack, they bunched up at the flag base, I F2000's from the top of the alleyway building, guts everywhere.
Also have I about 3 Hours 45 min in on one of the member servers, and it's tracking me to the min so far.
Everclear: I think the time based is just a minimum to be eligible for the cash prizes. They also are going to do prizes for things like most knife kills, and other things like that iirc.
45 Servers, 2 off line right now, 4 are SF the rest are BF2. The best pick up games I have had in months have been on these serves..... coincidence from the first day?????? Dunno' will keep playing thru Feb to see what's up.
Your right Sarge, once you hit 25 hours in a month - reset to 0 hours on day 1 of each month, you are eligible for the random drawings for the prizes. They are thinking of nixing the cash prizes and just offering PC equipment.
Out of 455 registered players I'm already #43 as far as time goes. But again, the only reason time is displayed is to show you that you made your 25 Hours.
They are working with EA to see if they can get the stats off the stat servers, if they get the OK, then they will start offering prizes for knife. Pistol. Flag cap, flag defend....... etc.....
The only thing is you need to DL an app that allows you to open THEIR server browser to join a game. I have not noticed any lag issues, just on starting the game goes to desk top 2X then straight to the map load screen of the server your connecting to, you do not get the "standard" game start.
