Ah, you should get it. I just installed and tried it in single player. Kinda nifty, go out in squads to cover objectives. We could try that LAN program like Arch suggested, or gather 4 to hit a public server.
Compared to that UT mod we just tried, sure as hell looks good 🙂
I was just chatting with Arch from OSS. We're planning on hitting some pub servers this week, possibly tonite. If you've got the demo downloaded and want to try it out, this guy would be the one to show you the tricks to getting started. Full release is May 11th, so I wanna try it out well in advance of spending any money 🙂

I will try it for sure. I do think though that the slow game play will be a good thing for you Lexx. The having to wait until the round is over to play again will be bad for me. I die a lot! 😉
I tried the single player part of the demo last night for a while. The controls are different from BF2 in many cases and that caused me some difficulty but by the end I was getting to be more natural with them. I slowly picked my way through the first part of the mission and found it entertaining. There does not appear to be a way to sneak up on the AI though - they seem to see me as soon as any part of my body shows - even if they don't appear to be looking in the correct direction. The other thing I had difficulty with was aiming for throwing grenades or using the grenade launcher but that would just take a bit of practice I think.
I also noticed that there were some poor choices made by my ai controlled team members. I say move to one side of a wall and he goes around to the other side and is taken out by a machine gun emplacement :? Some of this is due to the views that you have. The tactical map gives a great top-down view, but you can't really read the "topography" very well. I would move a particular direction thinking I had cover only to find that the enemy was on top of something higher than me.
I think I need to spread my team out more. I grouped us pretty tightly when in some cases I might be better off sending a guy or two off to circle around an enemy for a better shot.
There is no way to jump or climb. Many times would have been useful for me to climb onto some low object to get a better field of view but I couldn't do it. Really could have used the grappling hook from SF 🙂
Had fun with it though, and it would be interesting to play multiplayer.

Hey I am still mad at you over not playing that! 😉
Not the same at all man. Jailbreak gives you arena matches, you can kill others in the cell for fun, you can watch through the monitors to see what the others are doing and your team mates can release you. I usually do not remain in jail very long with a good team.
Jailbreak is loads of fun and you won't play it... Your loss.
GR games you die and your out period. Then you do nothing for the rest of the round. Lame.

Yah, I agree, if your doing a mod, JB is one of the best. We just got a new mod simular to it, called FreezeTag. You die you freeze in place until a teammate unthawes you or the entire team loses the round. A twist on DM.
If Blackie and Arch can get thier shit together, I'm looking forward to at least giving GR a couple of nites tryout tho. I messed with the single player alot more and have some idea of what to do now 🙂 .
