Dang, if I thought you guys were interested in this, I would have posted it a long time ago. I've been following these guys. It is actually the company responsible for The Witcher which I talked about a few years back. In addition to the game, they have links to user patches that improve the games and some of the games I believe are already set up in things like DosBox. Some of those patches included new UI's for 16x9 screens as well as improved resolutions.
It's amazing what they have done with these games. If I could find the time, I'd buy Temple of Elemental Evil in a heartbeat. I always wanted to play that game, but it was so full of bugs that I decided against it. From what I read on there, users have actually corrected a lot of the problems and improved the game, including finding additional hidden content and incorporating it into the game.
I actually have the ToEE module. Been considering selling it on Ebay. It was going for some decent money last time I checked. $40 or more.
From what I read, GoG is selling a version that has been cleaned up a bit. Not sure if it includes all the patches, but they've tried their best to make it playable.
