Halo3 Beta In May

WoW! They pumped out Halo3 hella fast! Is that a good or bad thing?

So Megaron, you going to get in on the beta action?

I have never seen halo, gonna have to hit up one of my console owning buddies to check it out.

I played the first HALO single player mode on the PC. I kind of liked it actually.

My problem was I got stuck so far through it so never finished it. My main complaint was they did not let you save just anyplace you want like Half Life does.. It auto saved when you reached certain locations. So I got stuck about 5 min of play AFTER the last save spot. So I keep getting killed there so had to go back and re play the last 5 min again and again and again. That got old REAL fast so I stopped playing it 😉

This has happened in other games for me sad to say. I played a LOT of single player FPS games and I got stuck in a few ;(

I never played HALO multi player but I bet it would be fairly fun if you do not mind the futuristic type of games. I would try it as a clan.

Unfortunatly the HALO gods did not smile on me. I didnt get in the beta. I coulda bought crackdown to get a guarenteed spot, but I didn't like the game.

As for HALO itself, it is in my humble opinion the best FPS ever made. Half-life being a close second. It is the only fps that I enjoyed the single player as much as the multiplayer. I'm also very much into co-op games (one of the reasons gears of war was amazing in my book) and halo has that going for it as well. The future weapons don't bother me, in fact I kinda enjoy them. I don't get people who hate that, its a video game...it can be whatever the designer comes up with.

HALO2 was an amazing game as well. Some people disliked some of the changes but it continues to be one of the most played games on xboxlive and thats really not something to laugh about. I really think xbox live has revolutionized the console gaming world, and its something playstation completely boned.

HALO3 should be an amazing addition to the series. It was designed from the get go to be for the 360, so I'm really hoping they will be pushing the boundaries of what the system can do. Though I really was hoping they stuck to the original plan and released it last christmas.

I loved both Halo's. They were great in graphics and gameplay. I really liked the multi-player modes too. One thing that Microsoft usually does well is to make sure that their flagship games are kick ass. I would be severely disappointed if this one does not... 😐

I had some fun times on Halo 1, but only a few maps. If it wasn't Blood Gulch, the V Shaped Ice map or the small map with the river in the middle and bases on each side, then I don't think I played it.... :-)
